If I may weigh in, I was given Hydroxychloriquine for a stage 3 autoimmune disorder and it HALTED the progression in its tracks. I think there is a deliberate attempt to downplay the significance of this repurposed drug, together with remdesivir and others. It is not this drug that cures the disease but Zinc. This drug is merely used for Zinc to enter the cell because it cannot do it on its own. Grammatically, the article is correct in that the repurposed drug is not the cure, but Zinc. Taken on its own, the drug has no effect. The medical journal Lancet made no mention of the procedure, thus it is correct in its assertions. In fact, media outlets have not mentioned Zinc as the correct remedy. Pharma companies are that powerful and I just know that some pharma can concoct a remedy that combines any one of these repurposed drugs and Zinc and sell it under a different name.

And even better. If you cannot get HCQ due to bans and restrictions you can use Zinc Orotate which mimmicks HCQ/ZINC because HCQ is an "ionophore for zinc to get it into your cells". Zinc Orotate does the same thing and perhaps just as well or better? It sure saved me and dramatically improved my symptoms in just 8 hours. Orotates are mineral salts of orotic acid. Specifically, an orotate is orotic acid joined to a mineral, like zinc, magnesium, or calcium. The body uses orotic acid for various biochemical reactions. At one point, orotic acid was thought to be part of the B-complex vitamins and was even called B-13 for a while. Not every molecule can pass through cellular membranes. Because orotic acid is a tiny molecule, it can slip through completely intact - even when combined with a mineral like zinc. As a result, your cells can put zinc - or whatever mineral is attached - to use more quickly. This gives orotates high bioavailability, making them the best transporter molecules for minerals. The world needs to know about Zinc Orotate!

The countries reporting the lowest lethality from CoV-2 have a couple of things in common: First is a cultural tradition of compliance, along with the, as you call them, draconian enforcement methods. So their suppression protocols are more widespread and consistent than more western cultures. Second is that, in Korea, China, and Japan, they eat a lot of the root of Platycodon grandiflorus - in the US commonly called campanula or balloon flower. The root is called doraji in Korean, kikyu in Japanese, jiegeng in Chinese. The substance Platycodon D, found in these roots, is the most powerful ligand for inhibiting the PL protease that the virus needs to weaken the immune system and replicate. Our local Asian markets are out of this root, so somebody is saying something about it, but I haven't seen anything in the medical literature about either naturally occurring or synthetic Platycodon D being used to prevent or treat CoV-2 infection.

However, even there testing overall will still be skewed toward people with more severe symptoms. So it's only possible to make informed guesses.

Zinc use to be in some nasal sprays to treat colds but the FDA took them off the market because some people lost their sense of smell. Question: What and where are these journal articles, I would like to read them. One thing that might help with these respiratory viruses is just gargling with tea. The tannin in tea has a non-specific property to bind with protein. Since the launch point of colds (15% of colds are caused by corona viruses) is the nasopharynx area you could cut down on their spread to some extent by coating both the viruses and the human cell receptors with tannins. (this is just my theory which I have used for treating my own colds, not a cure but I like to think it helps, could not hurt anyway).
@autiemuse4 жыл бұрын
Interesting point @abelincolnparth. Many anecdotes of Covid-19 survivors stating they "lost sense of smell" or lost sense of taste or had a metallic taste in the mouth. Could this be a secondary symptom of a highly functional zinc ionophore mechanism, as these recovered patients typically had non-hospital interventive case resolutions! Could high zinc presence in mucosal membranes (including lungs) cause temporary loss of taste, smell, or presence of a metallic taste? Things that make me go "hmmmmmm".

Hydroxychloroquine, chloroquine, and quinine are all implicated in development of convulsive syncope and cardiac dysrhythmias ipatients with underlying QT abnormalities. It's hard to say if these problems can be induced in patients without the underlying condition, since it may have existed but been undocumented. Doctors will probably be seeing more of this if people try to self-medicate with quinine and zinc.
@tonisaldivar12204 жыл бұрын
clarsa1 I got lost after the cardiac dysrhythmias part can you explain more plzz?
@clarsa14 жыл бұрын
@@tonisaldivar1220 In simple language, lots of people have slight abnormalities in their heart rhythms and don't know it. They don't have symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath so they haven't had tests that would show it. Sometimes, when people take quinine and zinc, they can get spasms and pass out, and when they go to the doctor and get an EKG, it shows that they have abnormal QT waves. (If you've seen the patterns on heart monitors, each of the spikes, up or down, has a letter. "Abnormal QT waves" means that the distance or shape between the Q spike and the T spike isn't what it should be; it might be wiggly or upside-down, or may change from one heartbeat to the next.) What we don't know is whether quinine and zinc cause abnormal QT waves as well as what looks like seizures with loss of consciousness, or if the abnormal QT waves were already there, and that's why the quinine and zinc made them pass out.
