Hard not to shed a tear. My coworker asked me to order a recording of this piece for him. He didn't tell me he was dying of pancreatic cancer. I just thought he was one who appreciated the music. The meaning of this piece to him didn't become clear to me until after his death.

I'm sorry but this is fake... You cannot obtian such good audio quality / sound recording(s) by superposing hundreds of cellphone audio. Even in a professional studio... getting a real clean recording of a string instrument is extremely elaborate and difficult. The music in this video cannot be the result of multiple people all over the world with different recording setups. You would have so much polluting noise that the music would be inaudible. Even if they all had incredible recording setups... You would hear hundreds of different tones and timbres superposed on one another. You would hear car honks, streets noises, bird chipping, etc... This video is fake :s
@BrunoNeureiter4 жыл бұрын
@@10HW Yeah, the background noise would add up but it would still be quieter than the music. You wouldn't notice any random sound since it would so quiet. Check out Jacob Collier's beginning of Moon River and the bts

There are now multiple audio software platforms that allow for multitrack editing, wherein the sinewaves can be alligned and any extraneous noise can be filtered, such as the rustling of page turns, throat clearing, breathing, and etc.

Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) is a choral composition in one movement by Samuel Barber, his own arrangement of his Adagio for Strings (1936). In 1967, he set the Latin words of the liturgical Agnus Dei, a part of the Mass, for mixed chorus with optional organ or piano accompaniment. The music, in B-flat minor, has a duration of about eight minutes.

Incredible. This project undertaking must have been massive. I too am a musician, and I feel an incredible movement in their performance. The video guy got a little nutty, but I just closed my eyes and absorbed this resounding beauty of a performance. Doing it this way, apart from each other, tended to create a softness in the attack of each note that would probably not have happened had they been seated and playing together. A truly “different” sound apart from the standard performing orchestra. Tony Rogers, this is pure genious.
