We are all training at home, well basically a group meeting on Zoom. My sensei is patient enough to keep an eye on all of us! He even tells me when I put my wrong foot forward (by accident). It feels good to be training and at the same time it feels like something is lacking. Jus wanna go back to dojo like old days. My home is cramped n people swarm our parking lot. The summer heat is insane, practising indoors is enough of a torture. But I step out when people aren't around, just to get that feel that I'm free again n practise my spin and jump spin kicks and katas. So that's basically how my training regime has been going... doesn't feel good, but entirely not bad at all. Anyways thanks for the awsome video. Kumite by myself.. maybe I'll drag my bro to be my opponent lol. stay safe you too Sensei. Please keep posting awsome stuff. Oss!! To everyone: stay safe. Jus have hope.

Hey Nick, thanks for the shout out! Been training via Zoom. Training more frequently but with less intensity due to restricted space etc. Hope you all at Valor are safe and well

Your videos have helped me provide some at home drills for our students. You are Christian mission based school who does not charge for classes so our budget is limited at this time. We plan to open back up during the summer or when kids go back to school. I like a turning side kick with a back fist, while sparring.

Nick! Yes, it's been challenging but this time has provided opportunities to really focus on what is important and what I want to get out of each day. I am fortunate to be able to be outside and start running again, which has been awesome, and our dojo has been wonderful with online classes. We are scheduled to be able to return to the dojo in June! Really appreciate you still putting out content that keeps us all connected and keeps smiles on our faces:) Thank you for all you do!!!

It's been a bummer not being able to train with all my club mates over the last 8 or 9 weeks. We've been to doing classes on Zoom which is fun but it's just not the same. There appears to be light at the end of the tunnel now though & after years of training in sports centres & church halls my sensei & I have also taken over an unused dojo near us whilst we've been under lockdown. There's a bit of work to do but there's exciting times ahead. 🙂 Stay safe out there everyone!

Thanks a lot sensei. I am really glad that you actually made a video on what I asked for. The video is helpful and will definitely gonna improve my kumite skills. All I need to do is to practice as much as possible and this is indeed the best time to explore more strategies work on new moves and improve kumite skills. Thank you again.

I am always happy to help however I can. Thank you for the great question. Your question inspired this video and therefore helped many people who struggle with the same thing. Happy Training!

Osh sensei. I learn kumite too, but still not good enough for match, Maybe you can visit my channel and give me some advice to how to improve my performance. I usually play Kata for karate match.
