50+ years ago I not only listened to a lot of 1920, ‘30s and ‘40s music, but I collected old records as well. I first heard “Cow Cow Boogie” on the radio in the early 1970s when it was 30 years old and I’ve liked it ever since. This version is very nice!

I love it! Finally someone who is interested in the rebirth of the blues the way that it should be done. Fantasmagorical! yes, i know it;s not a real word, but it fits this talented artist.

You're right!! It is Cow Cow Boogie!! This is what Wikipedia say's about it:"Cow Cow Boogie (Cuma-Ti-Yi-Yi-Ay)" is a "country-boogie" style blues song utilizing the folklore of the singing cowboy in the American West. In the lyrics, the cowboy is from the city and tells his "dogies" (motherless calves)[1] to "get hip." The music was written by Don Raye, and lyrics were written by Benny Carter and Gene De Paul

Trailmaster, your right about Ella Mae Morse, but I prefer Ella Fitzgerald's slightly later version with the Inkspots. Mae's version was for a white women singing this style of music in those days was quite unique, but Fitzgerald had that effortless silky voice that just made you melt.

Nice, but in the original version, pianist Freddie Slack modulates up a half tone to Ab for the final chorus. Not an easy key for boogie piano.

Why can't people learn correct pronunciation? It's not 'doggy' like a puppy. It's 'dogie' pronounced 'doe gie.'
