Heck yeah, my dude. I miss everything about that time. Great, foundational animes; gaming was better, way more focussed on the artform than the franchise; and we still had arcades and movie theaters. Plus just the general nostalgia of missing your childhood. I know every generation goes through this, but looking back and comparing I just feel like something has been lost in the last 15-20 years that simply will never return. It's gone forever, whatever made this stuff so magic. It's not like we lost one actor, or went from B&W to color movies, or changed the kind of music we listen to. The fundamental character of everything is just completely different. The focus is off the artform, and on to algorithmic consumption. Two season shows on Netflix, the next Avengers, and P2W mobile game garbage. Year after year, forever, until nothing is left.

This playlist brings me back on track, when I feel down. Currently I'm suffering from a chronicle illness for almost 2 years now, I lost a family member, lost my dreamjob 2 years ago, got burnout twice and also into depression. Everything was going south, I felt hopeless, lonely and tired of life. My family suffered from that too, and I'm so sorry for them. I got great support from them though and my few friends I have. One of my friends told me I was supposed to die from my illness and that I was very lucky. I regretted my life before, but life is too short for regrets, I've learnt. Now I'm very thankful I can live another day, do exercises, continue my passion, travel, eat healthy, try new things and listen to this wonderful playlist. Thank you so much!

Amazing how so many people from different places around the world have memories attached to this mix and how 'Nostalgia' is now a word bond with it. I've listening to it throughout the years since it pop up on KZbin for the first time and have fond memories too, either of listening to this at work, studying and specially while riding the subway. I've only watched Cowboy Bebop after come across with the various mix music videos inspire by the anime that people were doing back then, but this one mix stood out. I did my dissertation in 2018 to this too. Good times! One hell of a grind though. Work hard/play hard lifestyle. I miss it man. More the sense of community than anything, and I was never thinking about what I was doing with my life as I had a clear goal... at least I'm trying to get a job in what I want now.
