Wow, I'm so glad i found you! I was looking for a mock zucchini apple pie filling to can, and in a comment on another channel, someone mentioned making a mock lemon filling with zucchini, which brought me here in a search! Made the lemon filling and love the taste. Unfortunately, most of the jars siphoned and didn't seal due to what i found on your other very interesting video about using pressure canner for steaming. Got in too much of a hurry to take them out of water so i could get the remaining jars done 😢. Am trying out the steaming idea this time and will be sure to use your tips on cooling it down! Thanks so much!!!!

I really enjoyed this recipe and can’t wait to try it. I am also waiting anxiously for the butt kicking bbq sauce. New subscriber!

We do too....and this firmer version is even better in my opinion! Looks so much better on top of meat, crackers, ECT also. I think the pickling lime soak will change the cowboy candy game for many people. 🥰

Lorrie... if you read these, there is one video I cannot find. I want to "dry pack" beets. Everytime I look online I'm redirected to pickled and water bath. My only question is ,I think, is, can I dry pack steamed beets or do I peel and dry pack UNCOOKED beets. And what would the time be. Please and thank you

What would the time be in a PC .

I personally prefer to boil, then peel....then cut and can. But, you can peel raw if you prefer. You may lose a lot of the color that way however. Either way, peel, slice or cube, then dry pack into pint jars.....PC pints 40 minutes. 🥰

Would adding apickle crisp give same results. Seems like it would take less time 8/28/24

I've tried it with pickle crisp, and although it does "help" a little bit....the lime soak in my opinion gives the best results. But it's all a matter of what results you personally prefer. 🥰

Be careful with the name cowboy candy. It's trademarked and they'll threaten to sue you.

They did not renew their continued use status. It’s not revivable. It is no longer an active Trademark according to USPTO. ❤
