Who else is super curious as to how well MJW would have done in mma competition ? Hes really a great teacher, has amazing athleticism, and has the physique of a superhero. JCVD was my favorite growing up, and when I grew more interested in martial arts, of course Bruce Lee became the one I borderline idolized, then I came across Michael Jai White, and have been a huge fan of his. I wish he became as popular/famous as Dwayne Johnson, as I think hes far superior in what he can bring to the table with acting and action performance. No shade to the Rock, as I like him too, I just think MJW is underappreciated relatively. Good day.

@@victortorres7851 Cerrone is a jui jitsu black belt and good wrestler, he would shoot in and take him down very quickly. Also as soon as MJW feels a full contact kick to his leg he's in trouble. That is something you have to get used to. MJW did Karate full contact, very different than fighting world class MMA fighters. He is not a pro fighter. He has not spent years sparring hard, taking dozens of amateur fights and learning how to actually fight. He would be brutalized by a pro fighter. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3m1cmOGfraYm7s this is point fighting, they stop the match any time contact is made. He isn't claiming to be a high level fighter.

@@joelrivardguitar yes I am very familiar with point karate I used to compete in tournaments as a kid. I found them silly and moved on to boxing and full contact kickboxing. However you do learn speed timing and good footwork. One does not have to be a pro to be a top rate fighter. An individual can go through years of hard grueling sparring and not be pro. I have trained martial for decades and have had the opportunity to spar with many fighters including MJW once. He definitely knows how to fight and has taken full contact kicks before. He also teaches very well. I personally don't think he would be brutalized by a pro fighter. Now would he win? I didn't say all that. However, he would fair better than many would think.

That doesn't look like sparring. It just looks like demonstrations. I wanted to see a light fight, that to me is legitimate sparring. I'm aware Cowboy would win any serious fight with Michael Jai White, no contest, but all I wanted to see was some practicality on Michael Jai Whites part.

Michael Jai White is an outstanding martial artist but this like choreographing like when your a kid play fighting and trying to figure art martial arts moves or practising movements in your kickboxing gym whatever they're not all gonna work in an actual fight or match but if Michael wants to prove they do then he needs to fight at least once professionally

@SoSaysYou
@SoSaysYou 2 жыл бұрын
He did fight people that wanted to kill him growing up. Granted they were not trained fighters, however their intent was much more malicious. Does he train to fight in MMA? No. But MMA lacks purity and is totally about violence. Which, considering some of Michael Jais past, is not the type of environment he wants to be in. Respect the fighters and respect to the martial artists!

Of course he could’ve with the proper training. He got a lot of striking skills already but MMA is a different animal and he would have to prepare in his areas of weakness. And he would have to show that he’s able to take the incoming punishment as well. All those flashy moves wouldn’t be able to get off in most fights

Majority of people dont have a clue about what fighting really is and how it works..Michael Jay White has great teqnique for sure, he used to do full contact karate they say, I dont doubt it..But know to my point, he can look very good kicking like this, but it as long as he dont sparr on a regular basis he well get his as kicked...Only threw sparring you will learn to handle preasure...MJW spends most of his time in the gym for visual muscle..If he thinks he will stand a chance against a pro fighter he is deluded...
