My buddy was there last week so they're still open! I never heard of this place until he told me tonight, and it's on our list to visit for sure! Only an 11 hour drive for us.

Been there twice...gift shop will make your day. And the Dinners are the real deal. Best part is the people who serve you there. I tipped a waitress to read a riot act on one of my hunting partners. SHE GOT IT DONE AND ALL THE GUESTS WERE LAUGHING AT THE EVENT. This is not a tourist trap... so put it on your must do list :)

SILVER LAKE, OR 97638 PHONE: [phone] From 2010 to 2012 I was filming a series of promotional videos for US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Forest Service, BLM and the Klamath and Basin Birding Trail. One of my rewards was I got to eat at the Cowboy Dinner Tree. It is a wonderful dining experience, the food is delicious and hugely portioned, the atmosphere true cowboy and the folks working there, delightful. Not mentioned in this video is travelers from all over the world come to this fairly remote part of Oregon to eat there. I recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing, rustic chowdown experience. This is not a paid ad, but I'll gladly take an all-expense paid meal here if the owner's are feeling generous!!! I'll even put my own gas in the truck and drive from here in Mesa, AZ without as much as a potty break!

Also, they only cook the sirloin one way; you eat it med. rare, NO other way! I got the chicken, it was delicious!

i was surprised by my daughter with a dinner there - it is all as advertized and more - as we approached i wondered why all the people leaving were carrying plastic bags? there was no way you could eat it all - great food and great people
