The Medora Musical was very patriotic and beautiful. An outdoor Amphitheater with an escalator. Also we ate at the Pitchfork Fondue. Was pleasantly surprised on that trip few years ago 🇺🇸

Interesting museum Russ 🤔😊. It has been about 40 years since I've been a rodeo. The state fairgrounds in Detroit used to have rodeos annually.

Howdy Russ, I grew up in the Billings area in the 50s and 60s. I90 wasn't finished so hwy 10 was the hwy. Our 1st night on our annual trip back to visit family in Minnesota would be Medora. It was a wild cow town. Horse hitching posts lined the streets. It was a roundup site for the railroad connection. It was a great place to grow up.

Have been to Medora a couple times, during calf-buying season in October. Painted Canyon in the morning sun is beautiful. Watched a herd of elk stampeding in the canyon one morning. There was a bison grazing just outside the Visitor Center, I thought he was a statue until he moved, lol. The Bully Pulpit Golf Course south of Medora is spectacular, great views on the Back 9.

"I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well." -Theodore Roosevelt 🙋♀️Hello Russ! This was a chilly morning seeing you with your jacket on. Turned out to be a beautiful day to see the Cowboy Museum. So very much enjoyed this trip via the backroads that you have taken us on. Is there actually enough time in our lifetime to see everything? I hope you enjoy the rest of your day. Safe travels.👍

not one other country except the USA had the cowboy, pioneer, homesteader, western expansion as did we here! that is what makes American unique! My great-grandfather was an original homesteader in KS. Also no other country has prairies exactly like us either

In June, further into the park, we were lucky enough to see wild horses as they came up a ravine and then crossing the road right in front of us.

I am enjoying your trip through North Dakota. I was born there and though I live in the Atlanta suburbs now, I still miss home(ND). I would like to make a complaint about your visit to Medora. You totally forgot to give the history of the town, the reason it was named Medora and most importantly history of the Marquis de Morès. The town was originally a part of the ranch the Marquis owned and it was named after his wife Medora. He was a very interesting man who angered the locals by shipping in cool train cars, etc. If you get a chance please look up the Marquis de Morès and his history. It is a great story!
@estelleadamski3083 жыл бұрын
knowledge is so assessable , people can always google Medora, for more info. RVer is a travel not a history channel! Love the looks of the town. what a great place to grow up, I bet it does get cold, though. My hometown is Fresno.
