Well I actually accidentally came across this video and sure glad I stayed and watched it. Made me want to go back to our farm so much brought tears to me eyes!! And the lady's laughter in the back ground sounded like my mom and aunt's were having fun cooking and cutting up and brought back a whole lot of memories I'd forgotten about. ❤ Sure miss those days of being with family and the pure fun and enjoyment we had and getting to eat some of the best food that I've ever had even to this day some 35yrs later. 😢😢❤

This is a great comment and I agree! Kent you remind me a bit of going to Eastern Washington cowboy country where I always felt like life was the way it is meant to be - down to earth and right there surrounded by kind hearted people and living nature. And it is odd to me how such a warm hearted comment like this one gets only 2 likes in 5 months while others get hundreds of thousands of likes... Unfair and unfeeling world too often. Anyway thank you for your kindness!

Parenting is the job in the world that requires so much more patience and compassion than most of us are raised to have in the first place, but it's certainly easier than it used to be in your grandma's time now that you can find child psychology textbooks online... I love corn dogs. They're my favorite "fruit." :) We made this recipe about 2 weeks ago and they came out really good. Better than that frozen junk. We planned and had leftovers. We wrapped each corn dog in plastic wrap, then in foil, and put them in the freezer. The next week, we pulled out a couple for lunch. Threw them in the oven for a few minutes and they tasted even better.

I made these corn dogs today for my family and in laws. They were phenomenal and received rave reviews. I made 2 batches, one as written and 1 without onions and jalapeños. It made way more corn dogs than the website says it'll yield, which is just fine with me. I ran out of hot dogs eventually and made hush puppies out of the remaining batter, which are also delish. My only substitutions were that I used dandelion syrup instead of honey and Tony's Creole seasoning instead of the spice mix suggested. 10/10 will make again. I could see myself making large batches and freezing as well.

This was my first Cowboy Kent recipe to make, and it came out perfectly! The whole family loved it (there’s nine of us between the ages of 49 and 2), I used regular hot dogs, and it also came out great with an andouille sausage. The dance at the end made me subscribe. I was born in a place where the big city was in front of my house...and the back...farms, forests, and corn fields for 100 miles. This video was fantastic. I have listened to alot of garbage from the corn field side...but an equal amount from the city side. One thing is for sure...corn field side will forever be the better cooks.

I made your corn dogs for a party and everyone loved them. Even the people that normally don’t eat them. I didn’t tell them there was jalapeños in and the people that don’t like hot didn’t have a problem. They were a big hit. Many comments about not just being the normal corn dog.! Thanks

If we end up doing a superbowl party this year (depends on my brother's work schedule at the time if we have one or not) I'm thinking make these with the cheese stuffed 'little smokies' sausages. There's no way that wouldn't be incredible.

As a german, I hear the first time that this is something german settlers supposedly came up with first. Mostly because corndogs are completely unknown in german kitchen and I can't think of anything even slightly similar. Anyway, I am glad YT threw me at least _one_ video into my suggestions that is not about politics. And this includes some channels that were not about politics for a long time as well, because for some reasons, some people seem to think that you need to cram that into _everything,_ even into our hobbies. Glad to see there are at least some peope left who care about showing people how to make a good corndog (another reason I'm happy to find this, I _love_ those things), instead of telling people why making corndogs is a bad thing (Reasons!) and what its preferred pronoun is. Sorry fpr this rant, it's one of those days, you know...

@@craigjasman9436 soggy, undercooked bacon under the cornmeal cover would be not so yum. Maybe crispy bacon, broken into bits and mixed into the batter would work. I like the way you think, though. 😁
