Hello Kent, Shannon, and all you four-legged canine taste-testers! Yours is one of the best channels on KZbin! I always appreciate your salute to Old Glory and the men and women of our nation's military in every video. This means so much to me. My father was a U.S. Marine veteran who passed away a year ago. Thanks for another delicious recipe! I can't wait to try it out. Take care and may God bless you always!

Kent, I am stuck up north in the Central Valley, here in Lodi California. Love it here, well, mostly...but you know what I like best? I live among the vineyards. On my ride to work, I can eye the longhorns aside the highway. Yes, sir. Problem is, I sure wish I could fit a Studebaker in my yard. You know what I am referring to. God bless. And give Shannon a hug, and the beeg a treat. I'm on a mission. Chili cheese dogs made the right way.

She began watching you a few years ago. Her name was Christina L. Kuhn. She subscribed to you and she watched you all the time on the big screen in the living room. She loved your videos and she was a huge fan of you. So, Im her Son, Rodney Kuhn. And I just had to write and let you know that. She was a devout Christian and I know shes in a better place than we are. But, she loved to cook and she got a lot of inspiration from you and the videos that you put out. Mr. Kent reminds me of a cook we had at a trucking company in Colorado many years ago. We had a bunkhouse like in the old cowboy days. We had a good cook too, he'd carry a gun in his pocket, and he wasn't afraid to use it. He was a trip! One thing I've learned in my life is to don't give cooks a hard time especially good cooks, may be hazardous to your health, lol.

If you’re ever in central New York (think Syracuse area) try Hoffman’s! They make a few different kinds of hotdogs, but the main two I can think of are German frank hotdogs and “snappy white grillers” (which are a white hotdog that has a few different meats, including veal inside). Or if you’re more of a sausage person, Gianelli!

Chili dogs are my personal favorite comfort food, and I always love trying a new one. I find myself very disappointed in bars that market their chili dog and all I get is a hot dog with bland beans on top (hardly even salted) and plastic-like cheese on top. I can't wait to try this one. I'll try next week.

Technically chili don’t have beans. It dates back to the aztec times. Chili was literally chili peppers and sometimes meat. If you add beans it technically becomes a stew.

So true. But the loop hole is to add them as a topping after. And cooking them in the chilli might be closer to a Hash, since it's extra thick and have minimal juice. ( compared to a soup/stew) Edit: But I fully agree with you.

So glad you came across my feed this early morning. Been dealing with a 24/7 migraine type headache from being electrocuted 9 1/2 years ago and now I’m being treated for cancer. I’ve looked at several of your videos and they are great. Very upbeat and positive. I needed that. The radiation and chemotherapy just beats me into the ground. You’ve given me a few minutes of relief from all of that. Thank you.

@@canaisyoung3601 It's hard to find Buns big enough to even put Chili on with regular sized Dogs, so those Super Sized Dogs don't make for a great Chili Dog...however, I do love those Jumbos with Caramelized Onions and Sauerkraut.

Now, i don't know what they're like today, but in the 60's, there wasn't a better chilidoggy on Earth than Pink's hot dog stand on the corner of Melrose & La Brea in hollyweird, Ca. Just about every world famous face could be seen there, eating those "one of a kind dogs," dressed in tuxedos, standing at the corner bus stop - like us poor folks did - because they were the best chili dogs on the planet. They were twice the size of these, with twice the chili, cheese, sauerkraut, mustard, onions, a couple of yellow wax peppers, and enough napkins to handle all the ooze-out that such a signal dog requires. Boy, that wuz a mouthful, in every way!! Now them worth copyin' --2/502 Inf, 101st Abn Div
