Omg you know what would be amazing? If he wore an Apple Vision Pro while playing to record a spatial 3D video of him playing. Then we could all watch it one day (when we could afford our own AVP lol) and see his hands playing from his own perspective. How cool would that be?

Derek doesn't really have favourite pieces. He's totally absorbed in whatever he's playing at the moment, but he does have preferred styles to improvise in, especially early jazz, ragtime and boogie.
