His best material is when he talks about his partner because it’s so real it’s visceral. I think he will be really good in 5 years or so once he finds his own voice.

And it is very common for comedians to unconsciously imitate their idols or comedians they look up to in the formative years of their careers. Examples, Eddie Murphy -> Richard Pryor Niki Glazer -> Amy Schumer Mark Normand -> Jerry Seinfeld And ask anyone in the comedy scene how common it was for up and comers to imitate Dave Attel and Bill Hicks. It doesn’t mean he’s not talented. It just means he hasn’t completely found his voice yet. If you listen to the podcast Schulz talks pretty much identical to his stand-up persona whereas Akaash sounds quite different for the most part. Anyway, it’s not a big deal dude. You obviously are a big fan of Akaash and that’s good. He definitely has some good jokes and on a good day he’s very good at impromptu crowd work.
