Some say prison is meant to reform individuals, but throughout history, and even now, it's a fate worse than death for many. No, they didn't starve us. The same famine was affecting Britain at the same time, and it was not some across the board racist belief that caused the problems with Ireland, but a poorly thought through policy on the part of the British government that negatively affected Irish and English alike. You can thank Fenian propaganda for skewing the perception of the famine into some ethnic genocide rather than poor poor policy and judgement.

Let me remind you that you failed to disprove that the Brits were equally suffering from the same famine, but it disproportionately affected Ireland solely as agriculture dominated the island, as opposed to industrial Britain. The belief that the Irish deserved the famine was a fringe belief held by some MPs, however it was not the primary belief of the government, and when government intervention, which there was plenty of, failed, lords, politicians and businessmen took it upon themselves to privately support the people. Wide scale evictions were as a result of economic downturn, as was the case in the rest of Britain, and were not a result of confiscation for the replacement of Protestants. That occurred about two centuries earlier during the Plantation period, so please, if you are to try argue historical fact, it is the best practice to get the dates right.

I think that there’s something neglected in all of this, and that’s Caleb’s eager opportunism throughout his entire life, and willingness to freely discard his morality for gain, in much more direct, gruesome, and petty ways than any of his oppressors. This isn’t just a tale of societal trends creating monstrous men, and systems that only breed more misery - it’s a tale of reckless, impulsive ambition, and the consequences of such short-term gains. Caleb is given opportunities to break out of this system entirely, to turn his back on the cycle and move out even further west for a new start, amongst the immigrants and young hearts of the far border. But does he take them? No. Caleb is just as guilty as his masters of vanity and sadism, or pride and lust for superiority, and his refusal to become aware of how far he has fallen is not something that should be excused. The Deathslinger walks a road that he picked for the wrong reasons, reasons that no other man could make him care about. And in the end, the only thing that kept him from becoming even more depraved and cruel than anyone at the top, was the Entity pulling him away, and granting him immunity from the consequences. That’s the wrinkle that makes him compelling - he chose to enable a new generation of exploitation, and threw away his humanity to do so.

He was kind of screwed from the start and there would never be a happy ending for him. This is why I really appreciate how he and Zarina are two sides of the same coin. But rather than take the route led by hatred, Zarina tries to defeat the system in her own way, because she knows seeking revenge isn't going to help her, her father, or anyone else being crushed under the boot of... society (lol). If they had their own film, as opposed to going into the Entity's realm, I can see it being a real bummer of a sad story. Speaking of the Batman references, the Joker edits reminded me of a quote from an episode of the Batman animated series, albeit from the Penguin: "I supposed what they say is true: society is to blame. *High* society."

id like to think if we lived in the dbd universe, bayshore would be seen as an edison type figure, where most people have now learned what he was really like and hate him

The song at the end gave me a laugh when the David turned up The song is a protest against British rule and the harsh taxation and inability to be elected to political positions by the British The term black and tan is in reference to the British officer uniform not a race thing

Hey, I was wondering if you could do a deep dive into the lore of Kate. I still don't understand what her archive is supposed to symbolize, but this is by no means an obligation. Love your content, thanks!

How cool/broken would it be if there was a perk that gave deathslinger a scope so that you could really embrace the TF2 sniper meme

i would have to argue specifically with the photo of the hillbilly as an example of how his story is different deathslinger is, is actually probably one of the examples most close to the deathslingers. The only reason the hillbilly was allowed to be treated the way he was, was because of crooked cops, and a system overall that viewed him as a mistake, and marked for that as well. wile obviously not the same to gunslingers, I feel hillbilly too is also created from a system larger than himself, and a personal relationship. Wile there are other killers that are also a light mix, I feel billy due to being visably disabled/disfigured (aka, the way he was born, just like deathslinger) played into the bias and hate of a larger system (the police), makes him almost something quite alike deathslinger. OBVIOUSLY, not the same, slinger is more unique but still

1:16 Me whenever I go to work (yeah my job sucks THAT hard). But, all jokes aside, I always wondered what it would be like to actually have Stephen King's SLEEPWALKERS as two fan-made killers in Dead by Daylight. Of course they both would be called "The Sleepwalker", and we'd be playing either Charles Brady or his mother, Mary. But, what would their perks be, and what weapons should they use? Their powers are still the same as in the movie, and the location is Travis, Indiana. Lastly, the survivor for this chapter is Tanya Robertson.
