He’ll be fine. Defense and oline? Still huge issues. The defense has been the worst in the league in giving up big plays (20 yards or more) and it’s not even close. They gave up 8 more big plays than any other team in the league last year and gave up 170 yards rushing yesterday. Plus Hudson and Jones and 2 horrendous fumbles that completely changed the trajectory of the game.

I think both of them are overrated. The problem with the Burrow vs Lamar comparison is that the playoffs matter more, and Burrow is 5-2 vs Lamar's 2-4. Burrow benefitted from the worst half of playoff football that Mahomes has ever played, and it led to Joe's signature win, meanwhile Lamar always saves his worst game of the year for the playoffs.

Same Defense that was the #1 Defense, and the Browns with Watson did beat the Ravens last season so he isn’t all that bad. This is more of minimizing and downplaying a Dallas win that anything else. I'm not a Caleb fan, but Purdy's first appearance was like 13 weeks after the season started with an offense that was already set and included multiple Pro Bowlers. He had a full training camp and 13 weeks to learn the offense and was the backup for most of the year so he got significant snaps in practice. Williams' started the first game of the season with a new offense and played minimally in the preseason. What Purdy might be impressive, but you're comparing apples to oranges.

why because the bengals defense couldnt stop a cold and he has to deal with atrocious playcalling and two WRs being divas? yal always says this every season after one loss. Just say youre a Burrow hater and move on. stop trying to make sense of your ignorant claims of him being overrated. when he was finally healthy going into week 5 of last season he was the best QB in football weeks 5-10 before his wrist injury and the numbers back that up. He was statically top 5 in every passing category through those weeks.

I say he gets to live off that one game at least unitl someone else proves they can do it.
