Secret Hitler is a social deduction game for 5-10 people about finding and stopping the Secret Hitler. Players are secretly divided into two teams: the liberals, who have a majority, and the fascists, who are hidden to everyone but each other. If the liberals can learn to trust each other, they have enough votes to control the elections and save the day. But the fascists will say whatever it takes to get elected, advance their agenda, and win the game.

mkatapodis2 in the actual rules you can’t do that. If your chancellor doesn’t get elected you as the president lose your turn. It goes to the next person so it would’ve been Alex next since Asher didn’t get elected.

They already mentioned that at the start, in normal (7-10 players) Secret Hitler, Hitler isn't supposed to know who the other fascists are unless their is under 7 players then Hitler does know, which is how they've been playing the previous episodes (as they only have 6 players), but at the start of this episode they say they're following the 7-10 player rules this round.

The objective of the game isn't yourself finding out who the factists are, it's letting every liberal know who the factists are.

They weren't weird. He's the only one other than Brett who was playing by the new rules (e.g. Hitler doesn't know who the fascist is). You can see at the end Lindsey had no idea Brett was the fascist, so Alec had her totally confused. Lol, Aleks most definitely forgot that was the new rule, so he had no idea why Alec was being so obvious with the fascist plays. Brett used it to his advantage.

The second time either he legit got unlucky with 3 fascist cards or he wanted the advantage of getting to see the 3 next cards and see who the real fascist was, which he would have found out because next up was Brett. It was a good plan that didn't work because Aleks got so fucked by it and got everyone to not vote for Asher as new chancellor. If Aleks had remembered the new rule he should have known Alec was being very obvious on purpose.

I think they broke core rules of the game, which made the Fascist side win. When the president doesn't elect a chancellor (it's a tie or majority no) then the president placard *MUST* move to the next person down the line. And if I am correct they in general fucked up the series pretty bad. If 3 or more fascist cards have been enacted, then when Hitler gets *elected* he wins. (after revealing his role), not on the same turn. Oh and, you might ask: what if the president placard gets passed for eternity? Well, after 3 times the first card from the deck is drawn and played immediately without choice to continue the game. Plus it's not a rule but, liberals have only one strategy: be liberal, be as liberal as possible, never play a red card. Confusion helps fascists. This is why the best strategy for liberals is to prolong the game by talking about the candidates and not rushing to conclusions, while the fascists want a quick vote and progress through the game quickly to cause confusion. The red card played by the liberal this game was basically them throwing the game. Taking a gun and shooting your friend on the battlefield. Not something you're suppose to do ever. (Bluffing doesn't benefit you, since the Hitler won't care as long as they win. The fascists are supposed to take a bigger lead on it.)

Edit: I love watching you guys and understand your channel is laid back style of playing. However, here are a few things I found that are kind of crucial to the game that you're missing -If the majority votes nein for a particular cabinet, the president moves clockwise as it would. The presidential candidate who was not voted in does not get to pick another chancellor and have a second trial. (they havent come across this, but for future reference) At this point, the chip on the board moves forward a space, and continues to move every time a cabinet is voted nein. once the chip reaches the fourth (?) space, the policy on the top of the deck will be put into place, and the last voted ja president plays uses the presidential power if that policy was fascist. -All ja/nein votes should be placed on the table face-down then revealed at the same time. This is to ensure there is no bias in votes -The president and chancellor should not discuss the policies until the policy has been put into place. i.e when james said "I gave her a choice" before she had played the card. This makes it more fair for both parties, as lindsey could have lied and said he handed her two fascist cards. But, because James was so quick to say what he handed her, it would have been harder for her to lie for it. Youd thank me if you were a fascist. (the last two id use as more lenient rules but the first one is a must) PS! if you like this game and want to see anal gameplay i recommend watching TotalBiscuit's old streams
