I could watch these IOW videos all day. Liz is a simply wonderful guide. You ordered up fabulous weather and even a fly past! Now that would be a B.E. fundraiser - sending you up in a Spitfire! Maybe an idea for your next big birthday..?

Grew up in Cowes! Nice to see familiar spots! And yes the cannons do fire to set off major races! Used to be a member of the Island sailing club and learnt to sail there! Liz looks very familiar! Might have been a customer of my father who had a business in Cowes high street!

Re Cowes/West Cowes - the town was officially West Cowes until 1895 when the then West Cowes Urban District Council applied for and received permission to change the official name of the town to 'Cowes'.

Lovely place Richard & Liz. Thankyou. Sting Spiders family has a connection to the Isle of Wight as his Uncle Archie is the only spider to have escaped from Parkhurst.

Lovely Liz showing her lovely island. I remember Cowes very well.been there for Cowes week many times and also the flying boats, one very large one which I think was owned by someone famous but can’t recall the name. Have to say that Cowes looks even better than when I last went there.

It is great to know that it looks better than before. Often it is the reverse.

I was rather luck to get the shots of the hovercrafts as they raced across the Solent. So I am chuffed myself!

Another excellent walk - you were so lucky with the weather. Interesting to see the hovercraft hanger - it’s a shame that technology has never really advanced - I was lucky to go on a cross channel one before they stopped running but they are very noisy!

Lovely weather and another great video. The IOW is apart of Hampshire. Many don't know that. It's odd when we holiday on the Island still being in our home county. Feels like your mikes away though..

I’ve enjoyed the other videos on the island, but I find it hard to enthuse about the wealthy few in these days of austerity and food banks!! This is not a criticism of you or Liz and I hope I haven’t upset anyone!?!

David Booth I am very upset and you not welcome on my yacht!

I went on a school holiday to the IOW 60 odd years ago. We stayed in Sandown but went on trips all over the island. Being just 10 years old at the time I found it so exciting being away from home and also "across the sea"
