My follow up question as a manager would be “you weren’t involved in this before, so… how exactly do you know that money has been missing?”
@Tenly20092 ай бұрын
What makes you think that everybody doesn’t already know that money has been going missing? Seems like an odd assumption to make based on the content of the video. You essentially set up a straw man. Your assumption is almost certainly wrong - in which case the managers response you propose wouldn’t make a lick of sense.

@@Tenly2009 this is a short that was clipped out of the full video, I’d recommend checking that one out, as it might very well shed some light on your question. “Faith” was in there beforehand, and even told her manager when she closes the tills and to watch the cameras. This employee, however, has no idea this investigation is going on. Yes, I would quirk a brow at the notion that an employee who is in no way involved in this matter would stick their nose into it. Kinda like in Multiverse of Madness (terrible film btw), when Wanda spoke America’s name and Dr Strange stopped walking and said “I never said her name…” so she gave her own duplicity away.

@@TheCajunTiger Fair enough - but perhaps your comment would have been more applicable to the full version than the short - since many people (like me) may not have seen any of the background. If we consider only the information contained within this short, it looked like you were just making up extra facts that didn’t exist.

@@Tenly2009 also fair enough. It’s actually kinda ironic really, the full version basically stopped where this one did, and the follow up was JUST uploaded 😭 I’m not the kind of person to rub anything in, in fact I’m here to breathe a sigh of relief myself, lmao

@@Tenly2009 The "short" itself was a strawman, given there was important details that were left out. This leaves BOTH perspectives as "strawman" because BOTH perspectives were based on assumptions, regardless of which side you take up.

There is nothing wrong reporting a potential crime. Manager looks into it and if it is true cashier is terminated. If the accusation is blatantly false, then that employee is disciplined.

Any report of theft or fraud by another employee is appreciated and followed up on. When this is happening, 90% of the time it’s a fellow employee reporting it. Main reason for intracompany whistleblower hotlines.

Actually it's most companies policy to report your coworkers of such things. And of course it's her business because she's been closing with that person, so she could be held liable for the missing money as she is working the same shifts. This is completely her business😮

I would also be looking into writing up or firing tjis employee for not reporting theft if she blatantly stated she was aware of it going on.

People rent to believe the first person, the one who talks the loudest when confronted later. It’s the way you throw suspicion off of the “person who tells”.

Ultimate SUS! WHY didn't she report this information the 1ST night it happened when she saw it or when she reported to work the next day.. she kept quiet until now? Waiting a few nights to say you SAW something is just as wrong as never speaking up. SUS for possible lie if not guilty as an accomplice.

Karen has a vendetta against Faith and doesn’t care what she has to do or say to get her fired and keep her unemployed.
