Especially if you didn't get it new... I got a PS1 secondhand, kinda by accident... I later found it could play other region games... Also kinda by accident... If you had it chipped for pirate games, or whatever, that might be the same thing... I dunno... Or maybe there was something odd about that copy... I dunno... But yeah, I've never seen a PAL version online anywhere that I've looked... And I've never seen any mention of it being released outside North America either.
