I listened to this on my phone while getting my MS medication infusion at the infusion center this morning. I had my ear buds in, and could not keep myself from busting out laughing. Oh, the looks I was getting from other patients was absolutely priceless. And nope, I didn't explain myself. You guys made what was going to be a long, boring, infusion much better and brighter. Thank you, both!

There are also more benign SCPs like a drink machine that has you type in whatever you want and it gives you exactly that despite not being connected to anything, like if you type in "damn good whiskey" it will pour you a cup of incredibly good whiskey, or if in an emergency, you can ask it to pour you "medical knowledge" and after drinking, you will become an expert in medicine for like an hour in order to help treat someone's wounds. One of my favorite SCPs is a joke SCP, which is a Desert Eagle that when fired, launches an American bald eagle which proceeds to attack anyone in the area having communist thoughts.

i think mine is the SCP responsible for bringing color to our world. No literally, a camera that caused it's subjects to change, becoming more vibrant and less grainy. It's a joke based on how before a certain era, we only had sepia-tone or black-and-white photography, but supposedly, that's because of the world, and not the technology.
@loc9785 жыл бұрын
but... but... the desert eagle is by IMI. If anything, it should fire a yamaka that seeks out anyone wearing a bomb vest and rips off their head while holding their deadman switch.

Jesse's dim sum story reminds me of the time when my parents and I ordered from Pizza Hut. We ordered 3 boxes not knowing that a box is for 2-3 people. We ate pizza for two days. It was great.

I'm really sad that the SCP Foundation's gone downhill since its inception. They used to decommission the really bad ones - come up with fun ways to explain, kill off or destroy the ones that were badly-written or no one liked - but they removed that entire section after a point. These days the site's basically run by Tumblr, too, meaning that you need to deal with all of that toxicity if you want to participate on the site at all
@EpicFelinski5 жыл бұрын
youre talking out of your ass. the site is the best its ever been, with so much diversity in writing. bad tales are still punished and the 4000-series has the highest standard of writing yet since there are already so many skips its hard not to be cliché. ”being run by tumblr”? seriously? i bet youre one of the people that got upset over the LGBT-month logo. Theres a lot of great writers on the site right now, djkaktus, peppersghost, hell even dr. bright is STILL active on the site. If you miss the ”olden days where everything was better” the lolfoundation canon is just what you want.
@distance77215 жыл бұрын
@@EpicFelinski This is the kind of reaction I'm talking about when I describe the SCP Foundation as toxic these days. I personally feel that some of the newer writers will use skips as either self-inserts or platforms to discuss their pet issues and philosophies, which is fine if you agree with them but annoying and immersion-breaking if you just want to read some spooky sci-fi stories. Not all of the writers are like that, but I know more than a few skips in existence today that would have been decommissioned in the older days of the site because they just aren't that great. As for the LGBT-month logo... it's a bit annoying, yeah. I don't hate it or anything, but it's definitely not canon-friendly and it's another little thing that just breaks my immersion as a reader. Personally, I'm most bothered that we've even gotten to 4k+ articles in the first place. There are a lot of neat ideas in there, sure, but not all of them are vital to the integrity of the various SCP canons and it's stretching my suspension of disbelief that there are so many supernatural things out there that could end the world, yet somehow things keep chugging. Personally, I'd love to see the Decommissioned section come back so that the site could prune out a lot of the extraneous stuff by either having it destroyed or explained: it'd give the sense that the Foundation is actually making progress in its mission and everything isn't hopeless
@EpicFelinski5 жыл бұрын
@@distance7721 Theres a bit of an oxymoronic statement in your reply in that the newer writers will use self inserts and such in their stories. You realize that's what everyone did back in the supposedly better days of the site? If you wanna talk about immersion-breaking, surely you must realize how fucking stupid a lot of the earlier skips and tales are regarding self inserts and characters doing weird shit. Yet you complain that the site has too many articles? You just come off as a hypocrite because your main gripes are things that have existed since the beginning, you just seem annoyed that there are more tales now.

its still so funny to me that every youtuber tries soooo hard to overhypes those electrical brushes like its the second coming of christ or something. Ofc theres a timer that gives you a signal every 30sec... Every electric brush been doing that since they been invented. You literally can't buy a brush that doesn't do that. But some how that a selling point in those commercials. Lol
