I know a guy who was tricked into doing "the nutmeg challenge" back when the cinnamon challenge was a thing, he was, in his words, "in hell for a few years, having his kneecaps eaten" but was a few hours of him sitting on the floor in actuality. The squirrel Peanut and raccoon Fred were seized after a woman reported that the squirrel was "being exploited for personal gain". The squirrel bit one of the agents during the raid. The animals were euthanized so they could be tested for rabies. The owner did not have the proper license to own them, but was in the process of applying for one. They had attempted to release the squirrel in the past after he had been rehabilitated, but it returned the next day with several injuries, so they deemed it unsuitable for release and kept it, making a social media for it which got pretty popular. Seems the Karen who reported was trying to help the squirrel stop being exploited, hope she regrets her action. But yeah, it's super bullshit.

The thing is it probably wasnt the squirrel. The problem is multiple rehab experts told the guy not to broadcast that he had a live racoon.which he decided to do anyway for his own personal gain. He probably would have gotten away with just the squirrel but the dude decided to broadcast to the world he was basically collecting rabies vectors like pokemon. It's tragic what happened but all the guy had to do was keep a low profile until he actually had a license for the animals.

I think what would have made the hinterlands better would have been breaking it up with terrain like rivers and mountain passes that would gate your ability to explore it, like the bridge is damaged and you need to do a war table task to repair it and open up more to explore

Years ago before it changed hands, it made it onto Buzzfeed's "25 Things You Should Definitely Do in Victoria". @Coxncrendorpodcast Generally, aggressive/irregular behavior or animals that aren't meant to be domesticated are suspected to have rabies. Rabies is very lethal in humans, and the only way to test for rabies is to euthanize the animal in order to perform a necropsy on the brain. Honestly, I hate everything about it, and I hate the people who lied by reporting the squirrel as having rabies and biting them, but I would still see it as an inevitability due to the owner's negligence even though I wouldn't blame him the most. Not only is NYC one of the absolute strictest cities in the USA for animal ownership, but he had 8 years to do something about it, and instead he just sat around. Also, I swear I heard about nutmeg first time ever on an earlier episode of this podcast. Or maybe weekenders? But yeah, it is a strong spice that normally is used in a teaspoon per entire cake. The problems start around 1 tablespoon or more, and from what I am aware, it's more like the hallucinations you get when you're very sick, as opposed to recreational drugs that can specifically cause hallucinogens...which is to say, very unpleasant.

What exactly is a "good mount" in WOW? I've never understood why people have several mounts. The only extra ones I got back in the day were random drops. Took me ages to grind the gold for just one flying mount.

Mounts fall into different speed categories and I think (it's been years) some also have different special abilities when riding them

Mounts are (for the most part) purely cosmetic, indicative of an achievement, or both. There are some special mounts that are made for underwater or have vendors on them, but there's relatively few of them. Some people just like going for an aesthetic with their mount and armor transmog combo. Some people like showing off that they're a raider, mythic+ master, or high skill rated PvPer. There's very few mounts anymore that you just buy with gold.

I think the DA discourse is less about how open world it is, but more what fans expected from the previous games vs how much of a completely different game the new one is. But I've got no skin in that series. Love open world games though, and completing them, they come in smaller form factors, like Dredge, Caravan Sandvich, other indies...
