Love that Fishpond backpack - very similar to mine! Just needs a YETI sticker!!

I looked at the Yeti backpack - the Panga 28L Waterproof Backpack - and it is a sick piece of kit - what I liked about the Yeti is that the longer zip gives you much better access to the inside of the backpack - you can unzip the Yeti and fold down the outer side of the backpack and have full access to the inside of the backpack - frankly, I also prefer the permanent nature of the pouches in the Yeti backpack - I find the Velcro Pouch on the Fishpond to be a bit annoying - the Velcro detaches whenever you put anything large into the backpack (or take anything large out of the backpack) - but, there is one feature that is far far far superior on the Fishpond Thunderhead Backpack, and that is the waist strap - the Fishpond waist strap is so much more secure - and the holster of my Simms wading staff fits snugly on the Fishpond waist strap…

Never used a net in my 30 + years swoofing. Comfort lift only, but a net puts less strain on the fish true.

Nice one Robert. You're going to have to learn to carry with you the makings of a G & T. That, or fish with Bill a little more often and be the beneficiary of one of his famous, extra special, extra cooling, extra long (one pint) G & Ts. No matter the weather, there's nothing better after the exertions of a few hours on the river.
