gamerfallout The bubble hatch was only '83-'86. They also had unique taillights and rear bumper cover. (The taillights only fit with that '83-'86 bumper cover and vice versa.)

If that is true I have an 85 shortblock out of my 85 that I blew up. It always sounded like it had some kind of an aftermarket cam. I thought vacuum leak. But, it didn't have any vacuum leaks. May have to pull the timing chain off just to see what it says on the cam.

@@dirtshart Either way that's pretty neat. I tore down my blown up 85 shortblock yesterday. And there was zero markings on the cam. But, did find all the aluminum bits from the blown up piston.

@@TimParmelee It's out a lot in the Summer. Was at Woodward last year, will be in the '66 this year of plans go as expected. I do Baker's of Milford most Sundays, rotating between my cars. Be sure to join the ASC/McLaren FB group and register at www.ascmclaren.org. These cars do come up in various states of repair, but nice finished ones are hard to find.

Please not another Coyote swap, keep it a push-rod set-up like an aluminum 427W to a 454W stroker. At least that would give it that 80's through 90's sound and that push rod killer torque.

79 CapriRS How bad of shape was it in? A guy gave me an '83 4 cyl. car that his wife was going to make him scrap if I didn't take it: Rusted passenger side frame rail, floors, rockers, and bubble hatch. But I'm determined to bring it back. And nobody can say anything about it no matter what I do to it because at least it's still here...and it was only a 4 banger anyway. (I'm putting in a EFI 5.8 from a '96 F150 and a T5.)
