@PorscheRacer14

The intake manifold and the exhaust manifolds on the coyote determine more or less torque and horsepower. By putting the logs back on you're nearly there to the truck ratings. Swap the Boss intake for a stock truck one and voila. Yes a tune can change it some, but it's pretty neat how the three different intake manifolds for the coyote change the horsepower and torque. That being said, the Boss intake will look cooler under than hood, for sure. Holley makes an EFI tunnel ram that should fit and looks similar to the Ford Racing tunnel ram for the coyote, if you want that old school look instead of the plastic look under the hood.

Hey Rich love these reporter vids I'm 65 and as a 20ish year old here in Australia a reporter of the then F100 was a 351 Cleveland why did Ford choose the 302 for the coyote build was the 351 not so popular ,I guess we didn't have the choices here that you guys got 351Ford or 350 Chev was king of the road stuff here ,also the Coyote engine looks much larger than I remember the 302 heads look huge is this because of the over head cam system ,Anyway Mate this retired Hoon,petrol head loves your work can't wait for the next one ,I'm living my petrol fuelled retirement through you Mate and loving it ,you have better toys than I ever had Cheers Kym Adelaide

id guess 302 is pretty much the 'imperial' equivalent of 5.0 Litres. 351 would be about 5.75 i believe. and yes the Coyote probably looks wide as its a DOHC per bank set up, rather than a single cam pushrod engine

I don't think it's an old guy thing to want an exhaust that not only sounds good but also doesn't leave your head rattling. About a week ago I had an appointment to have my exhaust done but my muffler did not show up on time so I ended up having to drive my 460 with long tube headers and dual 3 in straight pipes for a week and it was painful. I got my muffler 3 days ago and had it put on after work and I've never been happier about an exhaust system. Nice and quiet so I can hold a conversation in the cab even when I'm pulling my gooseneck but it's loud and rowdy when I put my foot down and let it sing.

Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington also are dry and preserve vehicles very well. My 73 AMC Gremlin barely had any rust on it and that was only on where the back tires would throw gravel,sand, and snow in the winter when they would spin out, which was a lot since is was RWD and had all the weight in the front. The rust was minor and could be addressed easily. The motor blew up on me at highway speed when a lifter died and went through the side of the block after shooting through the oil pan and bouncing off the pavement. 180k miles and 130k it was not taken care of well and was parked with oil in it for 25 years before I got it, so it did well. It lived again with a supercharged big block V8 dropped in it for unlimited dirt track racing by a mad man that bought it off me for $350.

Im in the process of installing a Terminator X in my 90 F250 with the 5.8 and manual 5 speed. I weighed the different options and this seemed to be the cheapest and best being able to utilize most of the stock efi hardware already on the engine. Thinking of upgrading the intake and heads as I have an early Bronco with a mildly built 351 and Holley 4di, World Products sr heads and Performer RPM intake and am very happy with the performance of that combination.

When bending things somthing most don't think about is "set back" essentially calculating the stretch of the metal you are bending. Alot of shop hand books have a guide to doing these calculations / equations. I know I used the word equations, but fear not anyone with their grade 10 should be just fine. (I'm not Canadian that's just some Canadian slang I picked up from trailer park boys). Most people who need somthing bent in their home shop just bend a peice that's close enough and trim if necessary, I get it it's quick and easy. But especially if you're doing multiple bends that stretch adds up and compliles and things get off the rails quick. It's pretty easy to take a second measure what you have, calculate, cut a peice the exact size needed, bend at x y x and be done.

Rich, the Coyote doesn't provide a place to mount a power steering pump because Ford switched to electric power assist with the introduction of steering racks on trucks. The Bronco came with a hydraulic assist gear box. How are you planning to steer the Bronco? Convert it to rack and pinion steering?

"Just take the top off," says the Canadian. Once was enough for me to know NOT to take t-tops out during 105 degree ( ~41C) sunny days for a fun drive. I should have known better having bikes, but I was 17 and thought it might work...by the time I got 15 miles up the road to where I was going, the first thing I did was pop the tops back in. The last gen LS Trans Ams (mine is a 99, still have it...needs a fuel pump after sitting for college even with a drained tank...yay gm) may not have been luxury, but that car would cool down or heat up faster than I could get out of the garage and turned around. For engine swaps I went from 4.6L modular V8s (the Aviators were good donors for 32v DOHC aluminum block variants) to now I pretty much always use either a Toyota 4.0L 1UZ 32v DOHC V8 or 1GR V6 from Toyota. I did a RWD on a 97 ST204 Celica with a 1GR V6 turbocharged over wedging an I6 in. My E31 I got as a roller has a rebuilt and tuned 1UZ that makes for a great touring car. I also love the 3.0L SHO V6s and have a stockpile of engines and parts in my storage warehouse. I have one turbocharged in an RX8 (another roller, 500 bucks off marketplace) and it's a perfect combination of high revs and a great chassis. My factory engine RX8 is pushing 240k miles, they last if you know how to treat them (like a 2 stroke lol), but at 250k I was considering either another swap or a rebuild. I used to rebuild them back in high school and college to flip, super simple engine and relatively cheap to get good kits for (probably because of the demand...).
