Beautiful job! I am doing my first taxidermy right now on a lynx that I cut in my traps. I was looking at video but you are by far the best one out there. What you need is an helper that is filming and making close up in same time that you explain.

First I love your videos! What is the best method to stabilize the mount to the habitat? I have a mount and the company how send me the manikin give me 8 nut and 8 screw washer. I need to use all of them?
@ArtofTaxidermy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks … I’m glad you like the videos. But what mount and which habitat you are talking about ? In general you can attach the habitats with any method you think is best however the suppliers come up with a way to make easy for you.

@@ArtofTaxidermy That is a coyote and a simple flat wood desk 😅I need to use all nut and screwwasher?
@ArtofTaxidermy3 жыл бұрын
Oh I see what you are talking about. 4 of the nuts and washers are for under the feet ( to prevent the pressure being directed to the mount so you don’t break your toes).. and the other 4 is for under the base to tighten the mount and secure it to the base. A lot of times I only use the four that goes under the base. They leave all there as it’s the maximum numbers you might need but depending on how you mount it, use as what you need.

Why not measure the eyes on the coyote when you skin it out?

When you are ordering a form they always recommend the eye size in the catalogue.
