I had a puppy murdered by coyotes. I was supposed to pick up my new puppy and an hour before I was leaving for the 3 hour drive I got a call from the owner that coyotes got into their barn and my puppy was among the causalities 😢 but, I did go to the pound to cry pet the dogs and a litter was brought in and I got the more beautiful Aussie border collie mix that lived until last month (16.5 years!) RIP Gobo and Phantom too, I’m sorry your little life was taken too soon but thank you for leading me to my girl

For your compatibility test, remember they don't have to be best friends! They just need to get along. I would say look at how the communicate with each other and respond to each other. For example, the older dog sets a boundary gently but firmly, and the little one can respect it, or that the older dogs have patience for the puppy's brand of shenanigans. @@tigger5223 If you're actually asking, it's because very rarely will you see a KZbin video that was recorded the same day. Unless the creator is doing like "unfiltered, unedited" videos it'll take them/whoever is their editor time to edit the video to be able to be uploaded. So, Joey filmed on christmas, and then over the next couple of days the video was edited, to be able to upload it today on the 29th. I hope that explains it well enough!!

@@tigger5223 KZbinrs often don't post vlogs the day the footage is shot. Vlogging is a process and involves multiple steps, including editing the footage before posting. A lot of vloggers actually post content approximately 2 weeks later than when it is filmed. That allows them to be under less pressure and actually have lives outside of vlogging. However, during the holidays, it becomes obvious when footage is 'old' (i.e. footage from a week or two ago) so some KZbinrs change up their process a bit around the holidays so that they can post holiday-relevant footage as close to the actual holiday as possible. In Joey's case, he explains in this vlog that his motivation is a bit off at the moment which likely contributed to this vlog being posted a bit late. Those that somehow manage to get their Xmas vlogs out on the actual day (which is a lot to do while trying to also enjoy the holidays) will then likely post footage that is even older than normal for awhile so that they can get back on their regular schedule of filming/posting. Given that it's a lot of work and pressure to film/edit/post holiday footage ON the actual day, I'd rather vloggers just be able to chill and enjoy themselves over the holidays and then post holiday vlogs a bit late. IMO, not only do vloggers deserve breaks from vlogging, they also deserve to actually be fully present at holiday functions etc. (i.e. not being stressed out about getting tons of footage and getting vlogs up on time) so that they can truly relax and enjoy themselves like others get to do. Hope my explanation makes sense!

Joey, what you heard outside was likely just the end of the year party that most coyote packs have been known to throw. Coyotes are hard partiers after all and things can get pretty WILD🥳🤣. I have a story. My cat, Minno, who has no front claws, not of my choosing, we adopted her that way, decided to get out while my husband brought in our 12-foot ladder, as we were un-decorating our tree. She scooted out!! My husband happens to look up and see her scurry under our bushes that outline the property. I started calling her and going through the very thick bushes, it was difficult to see her. I could hear her meow. She was quick. After 40 minutes, I saw her at the top of our property, why did I notice her? A damn hawk was circling around her and was about ready to swoop down and pick her up!!! I ran toward her trying not to yell to scare her. I got to her just as the damn Hawk was just a few feet away from her!!!!! She is safe. We now have to be careful around the opening and closing of doors.

I am so glad that you got to Minno in time so she is now safe and sound !!!! Those predators will get small animals in a heartbeat if they have the opportunity to do it !!!! I live in an apartment complex and there are some coyotes behind the apartments that are across the parking lot from my apartment !!!! We aren't allowed to have pets here in our apartments so I don't know why they are behind those apartments unless they are hunting down the raccoons and opossums that are eating the food that I have put out for the birds and squirrels that eat during the day . There is always some food left over from when the birds and squirrels eat their food , so I guess that's what they are after ! All that I know is that they scared me to pieces when I heard them the other night !!!!! And then , a few nights later , I heard one of them howling for a little while . I haven't heard them since then though .

i don’t know if you did it, but a little bit of salt to the cinnamon sugar mixture will help! also extra sugar is so much better. perfect ratio is when the color is a dark beige, if that makes sense. making it into a paste w butter will help you spread it as well! a pinch of cayenne is pretty good! this is coming from someone who had an obsession w cinnamon rolls for a year.

Oh yeah coyote calls are very bone chilling! A few weeks back I was outside taking my dogs potty in Tahoe and literally just down the hill in the parking lot next to where the only patch of grass was about 2 minutes from our hotel room (because the rest was covered in snow) needless to say we booked it and continued to hear them from our hotel room for a good hour or so 😳 even met up with a bear that same night. It was quite an adventure that's for sure!

I think the cinnamon rolls needed a cinnamon sugar butter “paste” between the layers when rolled up. Otherwise they looked pretty good. Keep however many pups your willing to care for if you can’t part with all of them. Cute was overload!

I use to live in smokey mountains in NC. When coyotes howl, it's that pack informing other packs they govern a mile radius for hunt and sleep. It's quite fascinating because due to the sound waves in mountains you'll hear other packs nearby howling. And all packs respect the others because they're not interested in a kill fight. And they usually are drifters unless one is pregnant. The sound clip I heard in your video, it sounds like the got a kill and got themselves dinner that night. Edit PS.... It's apart of life, survival and the wild. I've heard so many shot gun kills from folks protecting their cows etc and pets ... You hear so many shots to coyotes you stop jumping, trying to cover your face etc.... Hunting isn't allowed in this area, but everyone is allowed to kill coyotes and wild boar. PSS no I am not pleased sharing this information, but it's what I learned living in the mountains. Just make sure to go to furthest measure to protect your pets and livestock

Never ever assume that your pet can be let outside especially at night. A sitter let my dog out and the coyotes got her. That noise was the sound of a pack fighting over their prey.

If you watch puppy personality testing videos (aside from testing with other dogs) you will see things like how defiant vs how obedient they are. Things like holding them on your lap, with them being on their back. Some fight it and some surrender. The fighters are more dominant personalities. You can also see which ones are more food oriented and able to be trained easier. Who is most responsive when you call their name (you just say “puppy! Puppy! puppy!) Some people say it doesn’t work (puppy personality training) and some swear by it. I believe breeders can see some of the personality early on, like you can with the happy demanding pup already vs more relaxed on their own pups..

Just a tip when baking I got from my mother. Mix the sugar, cinamon etc together before you sprinkle it on your food. Its more even. I do it when I cook chicken. I put the salt, pepper, paprika pouder and curry together and then the mix on the chicken.

Joey I highly recommend you keep the runt of the litter because most people discriminate when they see the runt of any litters many of them get abandoned or neglected without even a second thought and if you don't keep the runt please at least do a background check on the family who will take the runt of the litter and make sure they don't mistreat, abuse, neglect and or abandoned them and they have a happy home if I could I would adopt a puppy from you but we already have two and mom says we are never getting more animals I wish all the puppies luck in finding their fur-ever homes

Coyotes are silent when they are in a hunting mode. So hearing them howl is good. When you don't hear them is when you need to be on the lookout. The fluffers have grown.

I’d say, as the seller, keep the one that gives you some fight. One that shows “independence” because that’s the one that is actually busy with understanding it’s surroundings not “avoiding” or “not listening”. It’s differentiating their home! They are already independent and making up their minds! You’re doing a wonderful job as a puppy doula! Keep feeling their ene but relax in the bond; it comes when it belongs.

I instantly knew those were coyotes! I live in a neighborhood that's more in the country with stretches of land around it and we hear that almost every night. We have to make sure our animals stay inside because of them. But I can't imagine how terrifying that would be to hear for the first time.
