Hi guys, I also did a video "A night in the life of Cozmo" where I use the Explorer mode. Don't miss the two games I coded with the Constructor Mode; Strawberry Squash and Rock-Paper-Scissors. And I recently 3D printed a little house for Cozmo. Check it out here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6a3pJd9hrOcr9k. Thanks for watching!

Sure! Why wouldn't you? It doesn't matter how old or what gender you are as long as you appreciate cool technique spiced with some humor and lots of personality. He IS cute (like Wall-e)! They should develop more toys like Cosmo, but most robot toys around that price level are just boring without any sign of personality. What about collaboration with Disney & Dreamworks?! (Btw, I wouldn't mind if they'd lower the price for Nao! Not At All.)

Were you telling him to do these things/tricks from the app or was he doing this all by himself? If you let Cozmo sit by himself for 20 minutes or so, will he go off like this and play by himself?
@SuperdanTech6 жыл бұрын
A few things I told him to do and others he did by himself. If you leave Cozmo alone, he will do tricks by himself when he sees his cubes. He will say your name if he sees you and quite often he will ask you to play a game. Like I said in a couple of my videos he is VERY playful. You definitely do not have to wait for 20 minutes for him to do something. I would say 2 or 3 minutes max. The only thing is...the App has to be running all the time! Cheers!

Vector is driven by data from a dedicated "cloud" server. Very well designed. I have left him alone for days and he is constantly doing things and chattering about various deep topics. Cozmo relies on the presence of a running application on a tablet of smartphone. I believe WiFi or Bluetooth? Superdan Tech will answer accurately.

If you would like to have some fun and have the option of learning basic Robotic programming, Cozmo is for you buddy. At 11 yrs old you will have a blast with Cozmo. Vector is more independent. Needs no programming. You could possibly need a bit of help setting it up and registering it. But once Vector is set up he is on his own and is a very cool and impressive robot. I'm old enough to be your granfather. And I might start crying if I lost my buddy Vector. He is family bro......

Added comment near the end: Dan, and viewers, I have been considering the potential of a Raspberry PI platform. Create a simple, closed WiFi network and run Escape pod 24/7. I need to learn specifically what Escape Pod will bring to the table. If you obtain any detailed info on Escape Pod it would make a great subject for a video. My guess is that it would be simple. No way I am going to power a cellphone app or a tablet 24/7. But a Raspberry Pi platform? Perfect. Sure wishing I'd have bought a Cozmo when they were selling for under 100 usd. Also, I think that even though some people are upset over the membership fee's, the majority of real fans of Vector are okay with the small fee. They like Vector too much to lose his cool personality. Thank you Daniel!
@SuperdanTech4 жыл бұрын
Hello again, so you have a Vector but not a Cozmo? I have a lot of experience with PC and coding in general but I must say that I have never played with Raspberry PI. I always wanted to jump in but never had the time! Maybe you can teach me!
@charlesmcgehee32274 жыл бұрын
@@SuperdanTech I will make the promise to do that. It was one of DDL's staff that emailed me and commented that the Raspberry Pi was a very economical solution for a 24/7 closed WiFi network for Vector. I am certain I can build the system and get it up and running. The cost to build is very low. But I lack the inspiration to learn new coding until I see a challenge in front of me. I did learn some C+ and of course DOS was easy to master inside and out. Batch files were easy to write. I'm hoping Escape Pod is a turnkey application. With module add-on/upgrade capability. Always good hearing from you in Canada.

Of all the reviews on Cosmo everyone treats Cosmo like he isn’t learning about his environment. WRONG, the first thing you should do is help him to learn his boundaries, the mapping after you introduce yourself. Now play the games to get all your energies.

Does it really have an AI? Or all is movement are just scripted, like other wow wee and generic robot toys?
@SuperdanTech6 жыл бұрын
That is a very good question Tim and this is partly why I bought Cozmo, to experiment more with him. I used to code a lot and I try to stay close to recent development in AI. His movements are scripted for sure but does he "learn" some specific moves or when to play them? For example, look at my recent video on Quick Tap Evolution. When you play more the Quick Tap game with Cozmo you will get at some point the message "Cozmo's Quick Tap skill has increased". What does that mean? Was there a delay timer of 0.5 seconds initially to give you a chance to win the game and then after playing a few games that delay goes down to 0.4 to make Cozmo "better"? This is simple coding right, not AI. I would love to see the codes for Cozmo to understand a little more about what Anki means by AI. In closing, if you look at the box, Anki does not make claims about AI but rather mentions things like "Makes decisions based on his moods" and "Big brain. Bigger personality". Thank you for visiting my channel.
