We got a used one that seems to be password protected. Is there a way of getting passed it? Anki Customer service wouldn't help and recommended finding third party websites for the solution. Apparently there is a solution. They just wouldn't give it.

I am really surprised that Anki customer service would not help. This is strange as I have always received good service from Anki. A Cozmo can be paired to any devices whether it is yours or his first owner. Try to move his lift all the way up and then down. This should show his serial number/code on his face (make sure he is charged of course). Then enter this code when asked in the App. This should work. You will have to let Cozmo do tricks and setup games on his own until you get three bytes (or tokens like some people call them). When you have three, you will get a bunch of sparks. Thanks for watching!

When you buy something for sparks one time, do you have to buy it again, or do you permanently have it free? Or does he learn it but you buy sparks to command him to do it? I don't know...

+Meaty Aoldre, when you want Cozmo to do a trick or play a game, you need to spend sparks, each time, unless Cozmo decides to do the trick by himself or setup a game by himself.

Hi Raju. This is unusual. In this case I would shut down everything; close the app, put Cozmo on his charger and give him a full charge before you try again.

We let Cozmo play a lot by himself like setting up games, which does not cost any sparks. Then when we unlock a new ability or a new song (after getting three bytes) we receive more sparks. We are usually close to 999 (which is the maximum). Thank you for visiting my channel.
