He's a phenomenal little critter. I was thinking he could be a good therapy toy for people with autism. They might feel more comfortable interacting with a creature that won't judge them.

I got a new Cixmo a few months ago. And I still have my older one I got on my 24th birthday from Target. And my Liquid Metal Cozmo I got when they sold it at Toys R Us. But they don’t work anymore.

The initial steps are not just to make it like a pet. Those are steps for sensor testing, positioning and calibration. And Yes, certain robots need that kind of thing when they have advanced features, including self learning. The only thing is that many actually don't make the process fun. This one does. Through that I could actually see that this robot is more advanced than it looks like. Thanks!

Filipe Magalhaes -This robot doesn’t have a neural network aka self learning. Many companies claim things that really are not true. Clearly, it has some behaviors(animations) tied to triggers, but it isn’t learning.

I have the exact same Cozmo as you, and I think it’s annoying the way when you connect to him you have to do an internet connection, so if you go online you have to reconnect

what robots really need is to be more autonomous and to have a actual use, in other words, a droid, it needs to charge itself by going to the charge station, and it needs to be useful like a investment, like people that buy 3d printers are looking at it as an investment, so robots need to be able to tidy up and clean 247, quietly and have updateable software obv.

It’s amazing how people have no clue about what it takes to make even this toy. My suggestion is you go build a company and get the $200 million investment to bring your great ideas to the market because that is how it’s done. Just make sure you bring your prototype to the investor meeting. Until then, you get this or a $500 vacuum with zero personality, but return to charger capability.

Feeding.. maintain? Dude its a toy for kids sucking lollypops.. and not an adult tool robot! But i hope anki one day will make something like cozmo for adults. A table tool robot that can be connected to you even when you are not home. guard mode, clean up dust mode, and also find a way to make it stay connected even when the app is "off" so it can play and do its own thing when you are not home. Like that it wil do both clean up dust mode (table dust).. guard mode.. and all other modes at its own and send you messages even pictures if something happen at home. maybe a question... and you can command it from work. Iam not talking about these big vaccum cleaner robots.. but a small table robot that looks like and have same size as cozmo but with two brushes on each side :) better quality and much more advanced

Check out star wars droids by Sphero if you think Cozmo/Vector its a waste of money.That droids are overpriced,you can only control them like a RC car and make them doing some emotes.Cozmo it's more worth it.Vector its just Alexa with wheels,it has less features than Cozmo,not worth it in my opinion.

Very disappointing, it should drive up and climb into its charger on its own. And it should be inductive charging as well. No connectors to get dirty. Which could also give him the option of having a play table, that could power him non stop by having an inductive field across the entire table.
