I’m thinking of making a kind of weird build inspired by my love of history. So bear with me as I tell you my idea please! The Aztec capital city Tenochtitlan was built on a swamp and in order to grow crops they used raised farming. They made little islands (13’ wide x 30’ long) with mud from the bottom of the swamp to make the top soil. They put willow trees on each corner to strengthen the foundation and altogether 22,000 acres of crops or flowers were raised. But here’s where my idea stems from; these islands were big enough for a small dwelling (perhaps like a villagers house) this got me thinking I could do something similar to this and have an villager be the farmer and have that be like there really cool yard area. What do y’all think? Is this something I could pull off?

I feel like the best way you're going to achieve that is by making all of your villager homes that way and then having your home reflect that temple. I feel like people might miss what's happening if you only do it for a few houses. Sounds very interesting though, would love the DA if you do go for it!

It is my first island and I may be being a tad ambitious so I’m sure it’ll turn out to well and I might end up changing the idea all together. Also I will give it to you but it will probably take me a LONG time since I do things at a slow pace! Thank you for your wonderful idea!

first off, I love this! Question: how do you come up with ideas so easily? right now i’m trying to get out of my comfort zone and i’m attempting a kidcore, grandma-core, pastel island (inspired by yours!) and I have some ideas but i don’t even know how to implement them and sometimes when i go to play i just get overwhelmed. I go through phases of burnout and i don’t even play and just watch ACNH youtube videos instead 😂 I don’t want to feel completely burnt out bc I love this game!

I personally really like finding ideas and inspo from Pinterest and KZbin then I make a list of all the ideas I like or want to try! Making more folders on Pinterest is a life saver to help categorize areas! Then I just have to jump right in. I like to start with fixed areas of the island, resident services, airport, rocks on the beach, river mouths and then start implementing the ideas I’ve saved! Once I just start I just tell myself, what’s the worst that can happen if I don’t like something? I start over? Yeah it’s some lost time having to move things around or restart but better than lost time stalling the build! I hope that helps a little!

Thank you so much!! And I definitely look to KZbin and Pinterest for inspiration when I’m struggling for builds!! I find ones I love and try to recreate and put my own spin on them! Looking to real life photos can also sometimes be helpful bc it’s fun to try to recreate them in a video game using the available furniture! I hope that helps a bit!! I also try not to force myself to build when I’m not feeling it, bc it can definitely lead to burnout and make me hate the island I’m working on😅

Hi!😸 Lol I think this is my first time seeing your videos...🤔 Anyways, looks great! I'm working on a somewhat similar style island and just kind of have a vibe in mind then just wing it from there. Definitely makes it hard but I'm a terrible planner/my plans never actually work. The gazebo doesn't look stupid! I like it!😊 I also just end my roads abruptly cuz...Idk we only have a small island to work with.😋 Love that people are still streaming ACNH! I've been steadily playing since it released and still loving it!💕

Can anyone tell me what you have to do so that when I try to replace a code floor with a different one in build mode? When I try to do it instead of an instant replace like I saw in this video it makes me kick it clean first then I can place a new pattern ☠️ so confused what I'm doing different lmao This is so cute for sure getting inspiration from it!! :D
