Definitely team faux. My parents had a tree for 20 years and we’ve enjoyed it so much year after year. I honestly don’t understand why anyone would buy a chopped off tree for decoration that’s in your house for 2-3 weeks.

Bought a little Norfolk pine tree(that’s alive and potted) for 16$ at my grocery store. So it will be able to be out year long and just chill and grow❤️

Some cities offer tree recycling drop offs/pickups where they turn the trees into mulch, so check and see if your city does!

@@marianacaffaro My real tree is potted and we are renting it. After Xmas the vendor picks it back up, replants it at his lot, and we'll get it back year after year until it's too big and will just remain planted.

I'm a "make your own tree" person :) because (the same reason) I hate plastic trees and I feel really sorry for the poor real tree that would feel much better outside planted in the ground ;). Last year I collected some branches, took some rope and made a hanged tree. I loved to do that and the result was great because wood is much more cozy and warm than plastic :) Great video as always :*

You could try removing the "legs" from the tree base and putting some type of floral foam in your basket to keep it stable. The blanket/tree skirt looks great though!

That will not make it stable. Tree stands are specifically designed the way they are to support a tree.

I also switch out my art for the holidays, I thought I was the only one :D I actually keep the holiday pictures stored in the same frames behind my year-round art, so all I have to do is switch them around without even opening my Christmas decorations box.

Kudos on what's sure to be an exciting 2020! Looking forward to the new channel, girl! As to trees, I prefer fresh ones. For those who keep mentioning "needles dropping everywhere" here's 7 tips: 1. Know your tree varieties and get your tree from a reputable Christmas tree grower 2. Make a 1" or 2" fresh cut to your tree trunk *before* lugging it home 3. Place a biodegradable tree removal bag under your tree skirt (which can also help catch needles) 4. Let your tree rest, undecorated, for a day or two inside 5. _Name your tree_ 😂 6. Make one more fresh cut before decorating [insert name here] 7. Check the water levels at least twice a day (like when you wake up and before bed)

Plus, I just love the experience of getting all decked out in my Christmas gear and going to the tree farm the weekend after Thanksgiving, drinking some hot chocolate, and choosing the perfect tree.

I'm a 100% a fake tree person. I'd rather leave the pines and the firs and all the coniferous trees to the forest animals. I LOVE that yours is from recycled plastic!! I did many DIY ornaments this year, including some tassels like yours, but in a white thread that has multicolored metallic thread through it, they look SO cute hung in the tree with my other white and wood ornaments! I also use a blanket as a skirt, less junk to buy!

As much as I love natural trees and the vibe and smell they bring to the home, I am a faux tree girl all day, every day. Saves me a lot of time starting by not having to put on lights, sweeping or vacuuming every other day and I don’t have to care about watering so that it doesn’t dry out and catch on fire. If you buy a nice tree and take good care of it, it lasts for years. Last one I had lasted over 5 years, still looks full and lights work; passed it down to my brother and his girlfriend for their new place and got myself a 9 foot tree 😂.

Never, ever have I nor will I purchase a faux tree. 🌲 There is nothing like the look and, especially, the smell of natural fir. I like the needles on the floor, the fact that I have to water and take care of it, the imperfections, and the homey feeling it brings.

I used to have a fake tree for Christmas but I now have a non conventional wooden tree. It's 2D. It looks like a ladder in a triangular shape made out of branches and cords. I hang it on the wall in my living room. I love this solution because it save a lot of space in my tiny apartment but still feels festive. :)

I like faux and real trees. My grandparents had a plastic tree wich they used for decades, even when it started to fall apart. But it belonged to Christmas and we celebrated every year under it. My mum always has a real tree, we put it up a few days before Christmas, decorate it on the 24th and it stays up until a few days before the are collected for garbage. And I have a little faux tree I got as a kid because I wanted my own tree. So I put that up and put tiny ornaments on and I love it because all ornaments have a story and the tree is mine since probably 15 years and I love it. But in the ends it’s not what the tree is made of but the people, stories and feelings you celebrate it with ❤️🎄 happy Holliday’s everyone ❄️

Love your ideas, especially the Christmas tree that was not over decorated but let the beauty of the tree come through. We always get a fresh tree that we cut down so we enjoy the fresh scent, our cats sleep under it and we don’t have to store it. Please consider these topics for the future: hiding the kitty litter box in a small space, when to use built ins and when to use furniture pieces, camouflaging a utility box and dealing with a tv on the wall beside a window so what to do underneath them. Just add some cool Christmas music and you are set. I live in 400 sq. ft. This year I was gifted a lovely 5-foot tree - real - and man, I really had to juggle stuff. But it smells amazing, the lights are so pretty I leave them on 24/7 and instead of ornaments, I gathered branches with berries - real - and plugged them in here and there. Agnes is the star of your show today.

I'm a faux tree person myself. I had real trees growing up until I hit like, 13 or so. Now that I own my own house, we just don't have the money to spend every year on a real one. And they come pre-lit, which is just super convenient XD

I have a faux tree & I like it. It’s a “pencil” or skinny tree so it doesn’t triangle out, it also has lights built in so it’s pretty easy to put together and use. I like that I can store it in a box and keep it, it’s a one time purchase, that will last me... potentially my whole life. I have soooooooooo many plants in my house, so having one less to water I’m ok with.

Faux tree - same issues (live in a small space, stairs, how to recycle etc). We have a pre-lit, white twig tree (yep, not even foliage!), we also decorate it seasonally as an easter tree, summer tree, autumn tree etc, lots of fun sourcing cute decorations like hanging carrots and deck chairs 🙂

I've always had a faux tree (getting a real pine in Melbourne Australia isn't the easiest thing in the world lol) but yesterday I visited my boyfriend's grandparents' house for Christmas and they had a real tree, and having the whole room smell like pine was an experience I didn't know I needed. Fake trees have come a long way since the 80's; so much more realistic and fuller. We used to get a real tree when I was a kid and I love those memories; but now, as much as I love a real tree, a faux one is just easier. No mess, and I can shape the branches to hold heavier ornaments etc.

That Garland is SO cute! I have that same Target Wreath! Lol so gorgeous. I am in charge of Christmas cheer in the house, and I love a great fake tree... it's been my tradition! I think in my lifetime my family has owned 2 Christmas trees total, and we've used them to bits and pieces, the last one was donated. I finally bought my family a bigger, new tree, which we'll be using for like the next 10 years or so, as we usually do 😊 I think the best thing though, is that I still have my childhood star tree topper! We have to jiggle it a bit to light it sometimes lol but I love it, it's my tradition ♡

Adorable! The only suggestion I have is to use fishing line to tie up the tree, maybe even just to a command hook hidden behind the tree so your kitties can’t knock it over.

Hi Alexandra, one of the ways to use a basket for base is to insert the tree(take away the actual base) in a big flower pot full of whatever stuff you have around to keep it stable, and then insert the pot into the basket. Hope this helps

I have the same exact tree except for it's about 4 ft tall and I only paid $5 for mine at a second hand store I've had it for about 10 years... I love it... you'll never put up a tree or take one down as easy as this one... they literally just fold up..

Real trees! Those pines are invasive in our area so I think of it as a public service...and I go and chop one down in the bush around us :) love the wreath!

I really prefer a real tree but I always get a small one for my small apartment :) It's about 1m20 high I would say, perfect in my living room. And to be fair I live on the ground floor so I don't have to worry about getting it up stairs or anything ! I just love the smell and the look of a real tree

That door wreath with the bells is absolutely beautiful!!! I put up the Christmas tree just earlier today but still have all the other decor to do. Me and my husband are currently faux christmas tree people due to the fact that we have two kids under the age of 3 + a cat so it's mainly to avoid getting pine needles all over the house! But we both grew up with real trees so we definitely want to switch to those when the kids get older!
