Hello, I live in the Highlands of Scotland. I love baking all year round but particularly at Christmas time. My daughter and I start to make our Christmas cakes in September and feed it until the beginning of December, then we decorate and it’s very much now an expected part of my wider family’s Christmas gifts. We also make either a lemon or orange curd and some form of sweet to go into gifts for friends. We put on our Christmas music and spend a couple of hours every weekend in December baking and it’s a pleasure and a joy.

Yum everything sounds so good. I am slowly working on baking more. I made a pecan pie for the first time for this thanksgiving.

At 62, I baked one for the first time. Also, I followed the directions, and it came out flat 😅so I made pecan candy instead of pecan pie.😂😂😂

Loved it! ❤ I would say we share quite the same type of sweets, I also bake this crinkle, the linzer with jam, gingerbread and those little sugary crescents. 😊 On Christmas days we usually bake poppy seed or walnut rolls (bejgli) or Pozsony style crescents which has the same dough, same filling, just in other shape or Gerbaud cake. I really liked that beehives style cake, they are so cute! 🥰 I hope you had a wonderful time in Norway! ❄️

I live in western Canada and I always do a lot of Christmas baking, although my two boys are grown and on there own, they would be very disappointed if I didn’t have a box of goodies for them at Christmas, i enjoy your videos very much, so calming and relaxing, I always look forward to the next, I’m definitely going to try and find those lttle bee hive moulds, very intriguing, wishing you a very Merry Christmas
