Jonas, your hobbit homes and owl painting are wonderfully charming! In answer to your posed question: "What is the role of art and creativity in your life?" I am a painter, photographer and occasional art curator. Due to the fact that I also have a full time day job, I cannot do that much more than I am already doing, but I have a goal to someday go at least part time because the creative aspect of my life is what I really live for and identify myself with. I find your channel very relatable and inspiring because it shows how many ways you can apply creativity into your life, not just as artists creating visual content in the form of videos, paintings and sculptures, but also as homemakers and community builders.

What perfect timing for this video. I was/am an artist and relate to Jonas a lot. Health took away lots of time away from my art. A huge art theft of my paintings as well destroyed me. I was unable to recover after that. This video inspired me as do all your videos. I must try again as I feel incomplete and lost not painting. Thank you for bringing such joy into my week and I say it often, but you are absolutely the cutest wholesome couple online! I adore your relationship. It’s truly pure and so lovely seeing values again. From a time once forgotten. 🤗❤️🙏🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

Thank you so much Jane! Your comment inspire me! :) Go for it! It is never to late. One comic book artist I follow got a question once asking if it was to late to become a proffesional artist, the answer was very inspiring, as he answered something like "It is absolutely nothing in your dna that stops you from being succesful just because you reached a certain age!" I thought it was very inspiring and simple answer in itself. Very often I think of his answer when I get low sometimes. Thanks for your very kind comment!

It's A Charming Life Hi Jonas! I agree! Nothing in our DNA can ever stop us. I hope to pick up my brushes again. It is not easy, knowing I was a realist professional painter, if my shaky hand can still perform. I know drawing isn’t the same for me. But if Van Gogh didn’t care, and neither did Monet, their work had an evolution throughout their challenges and disabilities. Thank you. It’s nice hearing from another artist and very encouraging..

Thank you so much for sharing your life's journey with all of us. Thank you for giving us a peek into your beautiful creative life. The way the two of you work together and help each other is so inspiring for me I also have my own KZbin channel. It's a crafting channel and I have to learn how to properly balance a very hectic, stressful, full-time job with a creative world that I try to maintain on my KZbin channel and it could be very challenging crafting many hours late into the night just to wake up early in the next day to go to my job. But especially after having my channel for a while, I realized how much my work also inspires others. I dream that someday I can focus on a fully creative lifestyle and career. Thank you you for always being an inspiration and encouragement for other creators, Crafters and artists. Honestly, being creative scares me. I didnt grow up in a space where art or creativity were appreciated. I have, a couple times, created some art, and it was met with some skepticism and some affirmation. And I just feel really intimidated to put my heart into something and have it rejected. It feels very vulnerable.
@LS-um3zq2 жыл бұрын
I hope you keep doing it for yourself
@itsacharminglife2 жыл бұрын
I feel ya, creativity can be very scary sometimes. Especially to create something that comes from your heart and then show it to the world. The more you do it I think feels better and easier. Atleast for me. I feel when I found my own style it got easier to just trust that the artwork is good enough, and if someone would not agree it is because it is not their cup of tea. Also I believe that the feeling you feel is a good sign that your creativity comes from a good place because if you didn't feel vulnerable it would mean it does not mean anything to you. Hope my thoughts make sence? And please continue even if people tell you to stop. As long as it means something to you it will make the world more beautiful! / Jonas

The role of art and creativity in my life ? I am a creative, it's how God made me. It is my desire for whatever I do to be done in such a way that it glorifies my Creator. Whatever medium I use ; music, painting watercolor, making a home, hand sewing, crochet, I hope it will lift others up. I know it lifts me up, I am more relaxed, I feel fulfilled because I am doing something that is really natural for me. Making time for my creative pursuits is definitely a challenge. There is SO much to do, I feel like I will never catch up! I've told you before about the group I am a member of, The Nature Creative. It combines all different things that I love. I am challenged and encouraged to keep creating , even if it's just a little. I have strong perfectionistic tendencies. I am always wanting to do things in a certain order, " do this before you do that". When things start heaping up, I get overwhelmed and anxious and I don't get time to be creative, then I get depressed. I have to be determined to do the creative thing , even if it's just a little bit so I keep moving forward. I probably have undiagnosed ADHD, so I get distracted easily... I know I will always be challenged this way. I still hope I can learn to manage my time ( and resources ) better than I do now. ... again, thank you for giving us this opportunity to share. God bless the reading! ~ Heather ~

I can relate to this! Especially when you feel depressed cause you can't create, and/or the time does not seems to be there for you. It is a challenge for sure. And when it comes to usage of time, when there is a lot of tasks to do before you can even have time to create it is easy to get very low so when you finaly do get a couple of hours for creativity one day you have a hard time to believe its true, atleast I start to look for tasks that I perhaps think I had forgott. Creative minds are crazy like that sometimes! ;) Anyhow, I am glad you are using your gifts that God have blessed you with, and through positive times and hard times just rest in the accurance that God's gifts does not just go away from you cause of temporary challenges. Keep up the good work! God bless you Heather! / Jonas

Sigh! I hurt my foot 3 weeks ago. Slammed my foot into a metal door frame. 2 toes turned black and blue...them green and yellow. Couldn't leave the house. And had some much I needed to do. The foot is better, just not all the way. Still swells if I'm on it too long...or out in the heat. I have none to help out. So must do my best on my own. I was so tired, when I hurt my foot. You see my son who lives with me is a night owl...will stay up all night, then sleep all day. And expects me to do the same while keeping everything taken care of. I had to go out today on 5 hours sleep...at 65 years old this is hard for me. I'm just so tired.😕So I'm watching your video, while soaking my foot in cold water. Looking for a bit of peace, longing to shower and sleep. But must soak my foot awhile. While you keep me company. Thank you for you sweet videos...much love to you both.💖
