Andrea, what a lovely video. As a grandmother now for a little over 27 years, let me say your words regarding those mundane moments are filled with so much wisdom. You will never regret providing the environment, love and quality of life for your family that you are doing. We all go through seasons in our lives that bring us such satisfaction, joy, and memories. When you look back at these years, you’ll thank the Lord for this precious time with your boys. You’ve displayed a healthy balance for giving them time, time with your husband, time for yourself and time with the Lord. It’s all a matter of priorities and it’s such a blessing to see a young family as yourselves to keep all of your priorities in sync. It’s more than obvious to the world that you enjoy all these areas in your life and without you coming right out and saying so It it also evident that you know where your source of strength comes from. I love all of your videos. Your thrifting, homemaking, and focused simplistic lifestyle. Keep up the great job! God bless you and your precious loved ones!

I 100% agree mundane is grounding! Even when my kids tells me that they are bored I feel like that I am perhaps doing a good job to allow boredom to happen to us on this crazily stressful world! 😅 Have a wonderful day!❤

I would probably replace the word mundane with simple. Your life doesn't lack interest or excitement with four little boys, but the simple days are the best. Loved this video

This is my all time favorite video that you have posted. Family is everything and everything you did with your boys none of it was mundane to me. My boys are 31 and 28 and I loved those precious years. I miss them. My second favorite video you have done is the one where you and your hubby shared your Germany trip. You have such a BEAUTIFUL FAMILY and home. I truly wish every mother could stay home and raise there children like you are doing. It truly would be a better world. I say that from experience. I worked and stayed home and staying home being with my boys and instilling our values into them instead of someone else’s was so important. God Bless you and yours.

I am a stay at home mom to a 14 month old baby girl in Alaska, I’ve been married to my hubby for 3 years, and I love the Lord and creating a life giving home for my family! Such a lovely heartfelt video. I grew up in the 60's and early 70's. Most of the memories I have in our parents home were just the day to day activities. My mom in the kitchen cooking, my dad usually repairing or remodeling something and the smell of the lumber when visiting the lumber yard on a Saturday. I can see my mom sitting in the chair after we went to bed (I was a night owl and would sneak out of bed) she would be putting curlers in her hair. Sharing a bedroom with my 2 sisters. Playing "hot lava" all throughout the house by placing magazines all around on the floor and we would walk on the magazines because the floor was "hot lava". Our family meals around the table where we always had a stack of white bread. Us 4 older kids setting the table, clearing the table, one child washed the other dried the dishes. My mom playing "jacks" with us on the floor. We lived a very humble easy life but those memories are everything. We didn't have a lot, we played outside from sun up to sun down, and we knew we were loved. Every parent needs to realize that every single moment of each day adds up to months and years and lifetimes. Keep it simple, have lots of love and laughter in a home and know that each task adds up to many memories for the family. Love your perspective and video!!

I’m a former homeschool mama of two adult children now. I loved being home with my children and rainy days were the best, especially when they were little. We use to set up obstacle courses around our little house to get the “wiggles” out, which included running up and down the stairs with a cray paper finish line. Those were the days my kids remember, as much as we loved to be outside to run and play. We also loved art time and my daughter especially is such a talented artist because she was given the time to explore her creativity. Your videos make me remember those fun days and also reading tons of books together.

Love this video. After watching. I don't feel like there was anything mundane about your day. It's just as important to have down time days and quiet time. We've become so acceptably busy and thinking in terms of entertaining our kids. Many moons ago when I was a child, we were out and about the neighborhood playing with our friends. Mom would call our names from the back deck when it was dinnertime. ❤

Sweet Andrea, I love this type of content on your channel. Amazingly, I made a similar soup, using only ONE chicken breast. I opted not to add heavy cream, though. I mad some wild rice, separately, so it doesn't absorb all the liquid . It can be added into soup, when served. To stretch even further, serve with a crisp fall inspired salad of fresh greens, crisp sweet apple and blue cheese and/or a toasted cheese sandwich on sourdough or other artisan style bread.

I did exactly the same thing while waiting for the tropical storm to hit Southern California! Chicken soup soothes all the rough edges.

@@PineandProspectHome thank you! Just slowing down and letting God guide our steps is the best! I definitely need to remind myself of this everyday.
