I like it, as long as i don't have to go outdoor. I'm a equistrian and live in a farm area so being outdoor isn't just a walk with my dog but it's doing tasks that get harder in the rain. So yeah i love the idea of having a walk on a moist/rainy day to come home and drink something warm with a book but on days with outdoor tasks i prefer a sunny autumn/winter day

I’ve been trying to slow down my pace of life recently since I’ve always had tiredness/lack of energy issues which are relating to health issues but I’ve always tried to keep up with society and looking busy but I think your content and others have made me realise that I think slow living is the better way to go for me. One comment on the beautiful blanket: those fuzzy materials unfortunatey are a considerable source of microplastics when washed. The friction releases uncountable particles that can't be filtered out. Personally I go for natural plant based materials :)

The blanket making is super interesting! The first row is basically a crochet chain stitch, but then in the second row you make loops and are basically knitting from that point on up. You can tell it's knitted because it makes little V's. Very cool! I definitely need to try this and make my own big fluffy blanket!

I am obsessed with the chunky knit blankets but they were always so expensive I never got one ( though I'm sure the yarn isn't cheap). Your instructions look so easy even a non-crafty person like me could maybe do it. I think I will definitely be giving it a try this fall or winter. The Tim Tam Slam thing reminded me of when I was little, it used to be popular to bite off both ends of a Twizzler, which would make large holes, and use it as a straw for our juices or sodas. Ok… now I want to make a chunky blanket myself. This is definitely going on my autumn or winter bucket list. Also, gloomy weather is my absolute favorite too! My only problem is I live in FL- The Sunshine State☀️ lol. I’m originally from MA and really missing the seasons, especially Fall. Omg i love the blanket idea, how cute. It looks so warm too. The hot chocolate and cookie thing reminds me of something my grandfather taught me to do with milk and a stick of rock (candy from the English seaside, dont know if you have it where you are). You place the stick of rock in your milk and simply use it as a straw (may take some time but keep going) and then have the flavour of the rock with your milk. It was such a fun thing to do as a child when we had been to the seaside. I have no idea if anyone else has ever dont it before or if my grandfather just had a fun idea.

All the happiest times of my life have been when I've lived in places where I could walk out my door and find a beautiful and peaceful place to sit and enjoy natural sounds, smells, and sights. Desi's videos always remind me how much of a toll it takes on me to live in a dangerous urban environment. It's just not possible in West Oakland, and it makes a person feel so cut off and trapped. I have to drive pretty far for a peaceful outdoor read or walk (somewhere I'm not in danger of being assaulted/robbed/killed. Gotta get out of here. :'( This video is perfect motivation to move :)
