This is one of the best watercolor art books I've ever bought. I expected just a gallery of her work, but it ended up being so much more than that. You can tell the artist really took this project seriously and it paid off with this beautiful book. I loved all the behind the scenes stuff too about her paint making and how to bind your own sketchbook with any paper you want. The print quality and binding are also stellar and it feels lengthy and complete - well worth the cost. I agree Teoh, I too highly recommend it to any watercolor artist or fan of this style of work :)

This book looks like a MUST HAVE! Thank you for the review. I don't think I would have time to make my own paints and sketch book but It would be great to know how. Love her color palette and design.

Stunning book! Love the layout, the illustrations are lovely and so many of them!! Really well designed book. And I love how she teaches to make watercolour as well as binding paper into a handmade sketchbook. Oh Theo you make my book shelf heavier! :)

Ive also review this book and love it! I always feel very inspired after flicking through it. I found her tutorials quite help as I also make my own and it was also nice to see her painting process. It's easy to see how her paintings are so precise when you see the amount of prep work that she does. A tip for pronouncing her name Ira slowtahman van langahviydah , did my best spelling it out, i dont speak german but thats how it sounds to me when she pronounces it.

Watercolor sketchbooks are very expensive in my country, and they usually are made with cellulose paper instead of cotton. I learned professional bookbinding techniques to make my own sketchbooks. They end up being much cheaper and have the type of paper I prefer.

Lovely style, quite recognizable. I have had a try at a couple of her works. It is not the same but it makes me think of coloured pencil artist 'Reina' a little bit.

I admire her sense of color, but her characters have a generic, "tumblr-style" quality that is, honestly, forgettable.
