1000% here for this chill approach to spooky season! It's hard to be in the thick of a new semester and still remember to make time for the best season of the year. 🎃This year I'm really focusing on the fall vibes of it all- crunchy leaves, a cozier pace, and maybe a few tricks and treats.🍁 LOVE that Kelsi's approach to Halloween-a-thon let's everyone enjoy the season in the best way that works for them. I'm using the gameboard as a way to pick from four categories (activities, food/drinks. books, movies) and it was so fun coming up with lists for each. I think it will help me not feel like I have to cram so much in because I know I can't get to it all and I know that I love everything on my lists so win/win. 👻And I can't wait to hear about any pop-up bars you visit-such an awesome idea!🍹🎃🍁👻🧛‍♀

I’m still trying to figure out what will work for me… I’m thinking at this point maybe using it for everything but books since that’s very much at the whim of my library holds but I shall see! The Winchester is a fun little spot!! It’s probably so hard to manage to visit for an east coaster since it’s just one location in a city with very few other spooky spots haha but you could do a day trip from SF where there’s tons of fun spooky and no spooky things to do. I hope you get the chance to see this big ass house in person some day soon!! 👻

I love everything you have planned for fall/ Halloween! I agree that it can be stressful because for us that love this season we plan and we want to do it all. For me it’s the most expensive time of the year because I love going to all of the horror mazes and I LOVE buying spooky decor and mugs etc but this season brings me so much joy 🎃 🖤

Yes, the budgeting for spooky season is so real! I’ve been really good this August after spending lots of $$ (for me) on decor in July with all the initial code oranges. Now I’m waiting until September to buy more after seeing what I have in storage because sometimes I forget 😂

Love this! I'm all about taking things slow and really soaking up the season so this was really nice. I try to stay away from the term "bucketlist" as it applies this sense of pressure and time limits. I prefer to just have a list of "options" One thing I'm DEFINITELY gonna do this year is build some yard-haunt props! It's one of my favorite things to do but we have been moving a lot the past few years and haven't had the space to do it, but we're finally settled in our new home and I'm ready to break out the pool noodles and paper mache!!

As much as I try to read and watch new to me things, October is all about nostalgia and comfort for me. Every October I rewatch The Halloween Tree and at some point I also reread the book. I love to rewatch the OG Halloween and an old made for TV special called The Midnight Hour (it's here on YT) and I always read The Legend of Sleepy Hollow on Halloween night 🎃 I also go all in for the pumpkin spice things and I can't wait to start baking pumpkin bread, spice cakes, and homemade pumpkin doughnuts!

I think if you’re in education, this season when things get super busy and it’s hard to make time to enjoy it without planning for it. Ugh, yessss. I just started back at a new high school and there’s so many life adjustments to be present for. It’s unfair to add “create the perfect spooky season” onto my to do list when I am too tired to do anything by 8pm most nights besides lay in my bed lol. I’m hoping this is just a transition period because I’m trying to get some books read and some movies watched 😂 but I gotta meet myself where I’m at. I’ve always adored Beetlejuice and I’m excited! It made me giggle though because with the Beetlejuice Fanta that came out the movie is getting some more traction and it was just great hearing people at least 10-13 years younger than me talking about how they’re “OG” Beetlejuice fans haha and I’m just like “honey you weren’t even alive yet when it was popular” lol . My daughters and I are going to make cemetery terrariums! We are so excited! We are taking a giant wine glass or a fish bowl something deep we are adding dirt moss and we got some Venus fly traps and other plants in that family that are carnivorous plants they are awesome looking. I ordered a tiny cemetery craft kit on Amazon it has tombstones trees leaves crows cats it’s creepy! It looks so cool also u can add lights. Google cemetery terrariums. They look so neat in your home. Something fun! Hope you like this idea hugs from Virginia

Yes Corpse Bride is so good! Oddly I love the Beetlejuice Musical and animated show more than the original movie. I saw the cartoon first and was so confused by the movie when I finally saw it lol. Halloweentown 1, 2, and Halloweentown High are three of my staple movies. Skip the fourth one because they replaced the lead and it is just not as good.
