Cozy Glow is inspired by the villain from the 90's Batman animated series called Babydoll, a girl who is actually a 30-year-old adult and cannot grow due to an illness. Cozy Glow must also have this genetic defect and when she was younger she did not receive certain nutrients that help the brain.

Baby Doll made an appearance in the Kite-Man animated series, where she was 47 & still looked like a cute little girl, she sued her parents into poverty and she's now running a relatively successful business establishment. Anyways for all we know Cozy could be as old as in her 50's & still look like a cute but very evil little filly.

The term for the chess piece on Cozy's flank is rook. An inverted rook can be used to represent a new queen when a pawn gets promoted. Cozy is a powerful chessmaster who wants to be queen and needs pawns (such as the CMC) to attain this goal. The rook can also be castled with the king to provide the king with extra security. And maybe it was on this premise that Cozy initially got her cutie mark. But in Equestria, cutie marks representing service to others, such as in a protective capacity, are represented by an escutcheon (shield). The fact that Cozy's cutie mark lacks an escutcheon indicates that it is not her destiny or talent to serve others. If she does something protective, it is for strategic benefit only. And she'll abandon her post to make her bid for queen at the first opportunity.

I had the idea of Cozy glow being a villain in G5! the reunion of the pony crystals caused some chain reaction that freed her from stone. she's now a preteen with a darker patch on her forehead and her back hooves as a side effect of turning into an alicorn and then it being reversed.

I think her cutie mark could have a double meaning. Like how Cheerilee is a teacher but has flowers; it's symbolic but it also probably means she gardens as a secondary talent, maybe Cozy's main talent is manipulating and chess is her secondary one. Or maybe I'm just reaching cuz I love chess and would definitely want a chess pony to be in the show 🙃

Great video! I personally liked this theory even before the show ended, with her inteligence and manipulation skills it makes sense. This theory also makes the fact that they sent her to tartarus and then stoned her more understadable. Either its a medical condition or perhaps it happened magicaly, being a grown up stuck in a kids body, with her level of ambition made her lose it eventually. That said, since the show never made that clear her being just a genius psychopathic kid also possible.

Cozy Glow is a pegasus. She is proficient in flight & hunting (seen onscreen). She does not need trains or airships to travel long distances. A pegasus can fly up above difficult terrain & wild forests. As soon as they need to rest, ANY cloud is a safe place (that also provides clean potable water, by eating some of it). -> The ONLY thing they need from the surface is food. They can choose the right place & time to go down & forage fruits, or hunt (full grown horses can eat small birds & rodents; Cozy is a small little pony, so she would go just for eggs & baby birds). That same flying ability allows an evil pegasus yo steal stuff in places with only earth ponies (hiding in a cloud at night, carrying the stuff in saddlebags). She can be from anywhere, go anyplace & get enough bits from selling her "treasures".

I discern that you are a non-Spaniard whose first language is Spanish, because you call this Chess piece a "tower" in English, and this is what it is usually called in Spanish today ("torre"). BUT, in English the name of this Chess piece is "rook", and believe it or not, this was originally its name in Spain ("róque") as well! Spaniards usually call the piece "torre" nowadays, but most Spaniards are at least aware of this fact, while Hispanics usually aren't (some serious Ajedrez players are, though). (By the way, some British people erroneously call it a "castle" but that's a different story.

I'm going to point out a key thing with chess here - the Tower, i.e. the Rook piece is the second most powerful due to how it can move. It can go in any straight direction for any amount of spots. The Queen is the most Powerful due to the ability to move in ANY direction any amount of spots. However, in Chess, the truly most important piece is the Kind, since if he's caught, it's Checkmate. It might be that Cozy Glow was somehow constantly hindered in just what she could do by her condition, (manipulative or otherwise), due to her condition. It's hard to be taken seriously by adults even if you act like one, if you look like a child forever, after all. That might explain why her piece is the Rook. Sure, it's powerful, but it's also constantly hindered by the very rules of the game it's in.

That theory might hold up if you compare this to Looney Tunes' Babyface Finster or DC's Mary Louise Dahl .If you think Cozy Glow is a different race of pony, then consider the Thracian ponies only featured in the comic "Feats of Friendship", except Cozy glow has wings, which Thracian ponies do not. I would say that her cutie mark represents conquest, which she has pretty much dedicated her life to doing. I rule out dwarfism, because she has the characteristic of a filly, not a mare, not just by voice, but by proportions, including wing size.
