I was blessed to have met Cozy on my 25th birthday Julu 14th, 1995 as I eon a contest to mrrt Black Sabbath. Cozy truly made my day. He was such a nice, kind, personsble guy. Just a fantastic mrmorey of a great player and an even better human being. Top Class Act all the way around. :)

Next time I'm in Cirencester I'm gonna get a photo with the plaque. First things I heard Cozy on was maybe all his Rainbow stuff but I also love Long Cold Winter by Cinderella and some of the other records he played on. Black Sabbath and Whitesnake etc.

I must admit I expected something more from... the plaque. Pretty small and insignificant. Cozy deserves so much more. How many drummers, or musicians in general anyway, can you think of who can collect such a galaxy of their colleagues for a plaque 18 years after their death? I can't think of (m)any.

It's terrible I didn't catch this tribute to one of my all time fave drummers when it happened :(. It came to my attention just recently in watching a video diary of Graham Bonnet and his band (1-2 years ago?) last week in June of 2018. Bonnet came to visit the plaque, and was truly sorry that he couldn't make the trip when unveiled, he was moved to tears, and said; "My friend" as he wept. Very moving. Miss you Cozy, but you have an impressive catalogue for every generation to delve into :').
