Skimmed through, got a bit of a Twin Peaks vibe from the setting and quirky characters. Is there more going on under the surface in this sleepy town? Are they hiding a lovecraftian cult? Aliens? Pet cemeteries that raise the dead? Do you have to lock the doors at night? That's it, where was the Indian burial ground? You built the corrupt orphanage on it, didn't you. Then you turned that into the insane asylum, didn't you. DIDN'T YOU!? I ain't setting foot in that town, nope. Not gonna get those brain slugs on me, nope.

Why give the main character internet access and a laptop- thats so unrealistic for 1986. I went to college - an honors program and I didnt have Any kind of laptop or computer for college, only computer science majors had one and it was a huge desktop.Only professors and stuff used email. The whole, should I get a computer for bookekeeping conversation would have happened in 1996 not 1986. Dont forget the www wasnt invented until 1988 so there were NO web pages of any kind.
