Slow living isn’t a trend for me. It's a lifestyle I have embraced for years; I learned it from my mom and grandma. We always just took our time to enjoy the beauty of the everyday. I’m a romantic at heart, with a practical lifestyle approach to “keep it simple.” I grew up on a farm, which furthered my love of simplicity and back to the basics mindset.
We moved six months ago to our cozy cottage, and we are in the process of fixing it up. I strive to make our home cozy and inviting no matter what remodeling stage we are in. Making a home hygge and cozy is just a normal way of life for me, and I can’t imagine it any other way.

Yes, always love a thrift haul! I’ve been trying to take it easy with the antiquing because I really don’t need anything. But yesterday I really wanted to stop by my antique mall. A couple had downsized and they had the most amazing selection of jadite and cast iron. I got multiple refrigerator dishes, a flour shaker, a baby mixing bowl, and a Dansk bowl from another booth

Hello friend I lost you for a while on KZbin and I was searching and finally found you again a few days ago. I love watching your videos as you remind me of my mom and a simpler time in our lives. We lost mom 20 years ago and I’m currently caring for dad who has Alzheimer’s in his home. I love to cook plant grow bake all of the above however time here is limited and it makes me smile and happy to see you with your family enjoying these things together. What beautiful harvests . Natasha has done a fantastic job in the garden and I love all the productivity of harvest season but most of all I love seeing the jars and freezer full of food that I watched grow and picked or bought at its peak. That feeling of satisfaction can't be beat. ❤ Your desk nook looks perfect, that lamp really finishes it nicely but like you , I think it's original price would have been too much for me. You did so well ,especially waiting patiently to use that discount. Great job. We had pumpkin scones for breakfast as we went out the door this morning, made from the year before's harvest that I pureed and froze. They were extra delicious with our home-made apple and grape jelly jam on them. I bought that book for my youngest boy too , a lot of practical and fun ideas in there and the cover looks great. This morning I went to one op shop and got a few bits and pieces of writing paper and envelopes and spent a grand total of $3.50 , so fun and that will keep me busy for a while longer. Have a beautiful harvest season darlings . ❤❤

Beautiful arrangements Natasha. To make them last longer strip all the leaves below water level. The leaves decay and cause bacteria to grow which shortens the life of the bouquet. Keep up the beautiful work.

Well, I've watched this through twice and sorry it is over. I love to thrift although I haven't been for a long time. The closet Goodwill's are 45 and 50 miles away but you stirred up the urge to go thrifting! I love kitchen stuff, too. I bake muffins often and your pumpkin recipe is now part of my line-up. Both my daughter and daughter-in-law love pumpkin everything. My daughter-in-law is 34 weeks with my new little grand daughter. I think she needs to receive a muffin treat in the mail!! My daughter lives 3 hours away so I can take them to her and my beautiful little grandsons. Natasha, your garden is beautiful! Have you ever thought of selling cut flower bouquets?

An amazing salad is red cabbage with apples (sound weird but TRUST me its devine!) You take about 2 cups shredded cabbage add 1 pelled apple, 2 tbs mayo, add salt and pepper about 1/4 tsp each, and slivered almonds and golden raisins add about equal parts of both to your desire. Its so yummy and a quick healthy salad. Stays well in the fridge about a week. You should try it!

Love your cozy kitchen and little office nook. Beautiful. My best find this summer was a TAL water bottle with straw. $3 at thrift stores and keeps my ice water with lemon/ lime cold for 12 hours+. Great buys found for you! Those muffins! Yummy!!!😍
