Slow living isn’t a trend for me. It's a lifestyle I have embraced for years; I learned it from my mom and grandma. We always just took our time to enjoy the beauty of the everyday. I’m a romantic at heart, with a practical lifestyle approach to “keep it simple.” I grew up on a farm, which furthered my love of simplicity and back to the basics mindset.
We moved six months ago to our cozy cottage, and we are in the process of fixing it up. I strive to make our home cozy and inviting no matter what remodeling stage we are in. Making a home hygge and cozy is just a normal way of life for me, and I can’t imagine it any other way.

Yes and No to that question 😊 the accident was the last week of April. But summer time is really crazy for us work schedule wise , so I don’t have my camera man ( aka my husband ) as much as I do in the off season. But I have been taking it easy, I had whiplash and my neck still hurts 😏

I enjoy your videos so much. Peace & calmness are so important in the home. I agree about games. I am a former pre-school teachrer (for 18 years) at a Christian school. Games are wonderful to learn the basics like the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes & words, create friendships, learning to follow rules and directions, taking turns, learning to get along with others, etc. Audio stories are also great fun and like reading, it fosters imagination and thinking. As always your vlogs are so calming, soothing and another word I find that comes to mind is, stressfree. I'm a reader also. I haven't bought any books in so long, I need to get to a 2nd hand store and search out their collection and see what I can find. We make homemade pizza from scratch a few times a month. I have carpal tunnel so I use my bread machine to do the majority of the dough for me. I also make our own homemade pizza sauce too. Haven't gotten around to the cheese yet. Watching your channel brings me a calmness and ideas as well as new recipes. Thank you for another vlog. I know you're busy and can't put out more vlogs than you already are but, if you could, it would be welcomed.

I enjoyed this video so much today! Everything from the amazing garden that your daughter made to the wonderful coffee drink! I have a large family also, I enjoy reading books out loud, sewing, watching the kids build things outside, baking (made a cherry pie today), and watching the birds. Natasha has done beautiful job of the garden , it looks so beautifull and producing well too. We go through waves of playing board and card games here , sometimes we get right into them and then leave them while we do projects then take them back up. My little one does them daily and is a huge fan of puzzles, shes getting quite independent at them now. You might he interested in alm the spin off (?) Books by other authors about Laura ingalls family line . They have created beautifully, chapter books that recreate what her Grandparents etc lives were like too using some factual newspapers articles and family letters etc. I bought them all used off Abe books etc and had them shipped here . I adore them. They've all done a wonderful job of them . We've been listening to some" Lil philosophers " podcasts to see if we like them and some more audiobooks , a fantastic afternoon activity while we play with toys or lego . Dear Abby-Jo The video was totally worth the wait ! Absolutely loved this one. I must say I thrive in late summer/autumn. I live in a coastal city, so summers are humid and hot. Port Elizabeth is known for its windyness ( is that a word?) so I am not a fan of high summer. Loved your selection of books. My copy of The Diary of an Edwardian Lady arrived this week and I absolutely adore reading it. Like you, I enjoy the historical aspects of books. I don't read horror stories, though. It is early spring here and I am learning to enjoy the simple pleasures of sowing seeds and planning my summer garden. Thanks again for the effort you put into your videos. I look forward to the next one.

Thank you, I appreciate it 🥰 we use a good compost, some organic fertilizer, and homemade fertilizer tea. We don’t do much for bugs, just spray with a little bit of soap water or pick bugs off. 😊

Hello What a, beutiful garden! My question is about the tv series All Creatures Great and Small, is this based on the book by James Herriot? I'm currently reading Animal Stories by this author and am loving it! I noticed in that book he has another book by that title. Thanks for the reminder an always to slow down and enjoy every day. 😊

Oh. I have been reading the Savannah series , 4 book series, by Eugenia Price. It is based during the civil war era. Very pleasant to read if you like historical fiction. I am almost ed finished with book #3, "To see your face again.".😎🏖
