My father used to play this every night on the piano, and my brother and I fell asleep to it. My father is gone now, and this piece reminds me so much of his love for his family. She plays it so beautifully.

It’s just so hard to put into words just how beautiful and mesmerizing it is to listen to Kahtia’s playing.It as though she is taking us all along with her when she closes her eyes and plays for us.I just love that about her.Thank you Kahtia for helping to brighten our hearts and souls when we realy seem to need it the most.❤️❤️❤️❤️

In questo tempo che ciascuno di noi vive angosciato da due guerre, attentati, minacce, uccisioni e stragi ascoltare e vedere per la prima volta Khatia é stato meraviglioso e splendente per me. Grazie alla madre che le ha insegnato a suonare il piano dall'età di 3 anni, ella ha dimostrato passione, tenacia e perseveranza e tutti le siamo grati per questa sua caparbietà ed eccelsa bravura. Complimenti Khatia anche per la sua elegante bellezza e per l'averci donato questo aspetto celestiale nell' interpretare con maestria i brani musicali eseguiti. Ad maiora !!!

Es la mejor interpretación lejos. Por la selección de la velocidad, control para mantener la atención a esa velocidad y en un obra repetitiva y larga. Melodías secundarias, climas, espectación, encontrás todo en esta interpretación. Una delicadeza y agilidad presente en los adornos, y todo a favor de la magia de la melodía, no intenta mostrar ninguna habilidad y sin embargo están todas las habilidades presentes al servicio de la música y no al revés.

Such a beautiful piece. I learned this 35 years ago (not this fancy variation though!)...and stil is my go-to piece if someone says "play something". It's engrained in my memory.

When you play, you tell the story, you “translate” the composer’s feelings! We feel deep emotions, sadness... Nothing should persist in sadness in your life! There will always be great moments of happiness, life is a series of cycles, everything eventually returns to normal! Just wait and everything will be fine! Many composers went through very difficult times while composing this... Kathia, you are an extraordinary person with interesting feelings... :)

Avec Schubert, Liszt ne transgresse pas la mémoire, le souvenir que nous avons de son leg en héritage, il les entretient. Cela devrait nous inspirer la meilleure façon d'entretenir tous les souvenirs, qu'à leur départ nos proches nous laissent en gage, dans l'espoir que nous les laissions en gage de leur part à notre tour, lorsque nous partirons, à ceux qui feront plus tard de même et les perpétueront...
