The conductor sweats every note, that's what I call work ethic. How does a musician in a grand orchestra feel when he plays such delicate tunes, they can't allow themselves to drown in sentimentality and pathos, every expression of their trembling bodies has to be 100% accurate and yet convey the deepest emotions. And this is required of every and the last musician, they can't let themselves get carried away as a group neither, drifting from here to there. How does this organism breath with such controlled precision and yet create such stunning emotional movements, rising and falling, a sea of longing and torment.

I am part of a couple of orchestras. I cannot put into words what it is like. Very... transcendental, like you are a small part of a machine, not unnatural but rather organic. Like you are part of a bigger plan and you can see it all coming together around you. Like you matter and what you say matters, even if nobody understands it, they feel it, like you're speaking but not talking and somehow everyone knows. It makes you feel big and small at the same time; individual and part of a group. It's hard to explain.

To me, the most haunting moment was when she turns her head towards the sound of the clarinet in the first few bars, just after the flute speaks; it is an eternal moment I'll never forget. Her response to this sound was perfect when the voice of her soul leaked from her fingers onto the keys. Thank you for such a wonderful recording.

It's strange, I have been watching this same concert in full on another channel. I thought they were the same based on the date, the orchestra, the hall, the conductor, and the red dress Khatia was wearing, but the camera work was completely different. The way the camera was moving, the angle, and the close-up were just top-notch in this one, it felt like the camera was moving with the music and focusing on the right place at the right time. It's a shame I don't see that in the other video although that was a complete concert and this one is only the 2nd movement. They both have the logo arteHD, I would think they are from the same producer so how can it be so different. Perhaps they make two different cuts out of the same concert. I hope 新象共用 or someone who has this version can upload the complete concert. It adds so much more visually to the video.

Wow she's hot. Beautiful playing, she's really into it and I love her technique. I'm a guitarrist of 21 years and I wish I was half as good at guitar as she's at piano. I think the way how she applies dynamics is just incredible, so tactile and smooth. She really knows how to make every phrase come to life. Amazing how precise the more technical parts are too, especially the shredding segments (idk how you call those in classical terms, I'm a metal musician).
