How did your mechanic installed or aligned the pump with the adapter? I am having a hard time aligning the bolts to the adapter. Either the pump hits the engine on the top side or the teeth hits

Maybe you can shed some light, but I spoke to several Ram dealers and they advised doing the CP3 pump conversion would void the warranty? They also stated that installing a lift pump would do the same.

I have a question that no one has been able to answer. A “buddy” of mine has a 19 deleted cummins with the ezlynk and ctt tuning. Will the dealer replacing the fuel pump need any additional tuning? Can the dealer tune the truck with out messing anything up? Does it even need tuned after the swap. I’m not sure how any of that works

So if he is deleted and puts a cp3 then yes the truck will need to be tuned, the dealer will know tune the truck properly

The Magnuson Moss act prevents manufacturers from denying warranty claims based on aftermarket installed parts. The burden of proof that the aftermarket product caused the problem is on the manufacturer. A lot of dealers lie to their customers claiming you will void your warranty simply by installing aftermarket parts. This is BS and illegal.

@@marshallgerston4809 Do a little research into the Magnuson Moss act. This is a consumer protection to stop manufacturers from screwing the consumers on these types of issues. As long as the after market part does not cause a failure of other systems on your vehicle you are good. Any claim that it voids your warranty in its entirety is total BS. The aftermarket part you put on is not covered by your warranty but it does not relieve the vehicle manufacture of their obligation for the rest of the truck. As an example, if you changed your fuel pump and then your rear end went out, how can they claim the warranty is void and not fix the rear end? For this reason the law says the burden of proof is on the manufacturer that the aftermarket part caused the rear end failure. The law is on your side. As I stated in my earlier post, likely some dumb ass service manager is making a wrong decision. If you have a significant repair that should be under warranty as is being denied you may have to employ a lawyer but it should resolve quickly. Law suits are expensive to fight and they will make a business decision and settle.
