Thanks for this info and a great video. It really PO'd me when I found out that Phillips was invading my privacy like this, without really asking me. It may have been in the fine print somewhere, but that is no justification.

I followed everything till you got to the part about shutting off the modem. You said you" shorted something" how did you disconnect the cellular antenna was it just removing the wire ? But you said that didn't do it, but you had to short the "Coaxe" how do you short the coaxe?

after disconnecting the coax cable from the antenna, solder the shield of coax cable to the center conductor.

How can I find out if DS2 is transmitting? Does Phillips have a URL for diagnosing the cellular signal?

Philips has a web UI where one can log into to and see their sleep history. www.mydreammapper.com/Account/Logon I could tell my CPAP wasn't transmitting anymore when my daily sleep history data stopped showing up in my Philips mydreammapper account.

After de-soldering the antenna coax from the antenna, solder the inner conductor of the coax to the coax outter braided shield.

I gather the modem is part of the main PCB?

Yes. It's possible to put the device in airplane mode. However, the CPAP automatically comes out of airplane mode after 3 days.
