^This person has obviously never been to a dance class before in his/her life. Dancing is actually a very effective boot-camp-esque thing to do to inmates. It promotes productivity, work ethic, good health, and...well...epic dance moves. (Which is totally something we need more of in society. Obviously)

The prison, a 1600-inmate facility,[1] became well known for its rehabilitation program in 2005-2010 based on a program of choreographed exercise routines for the inmates. Known as CPDRC Dancing Inmates, the recordings of the various routines of the prisoners online supervised by the head of the prison Byron F. Garcia rendered them an international online celebrity sensation and phenomenon.

I think that it's a great form of rehabilitation for them. And dancing at this level IS hard work. I took ballet lessons when I was in my late teens to help me with my martial arts classes. And it certainly did help. And my ballet teacher was every bit as strict as my martial arts instructor. I'd like to see the # of repeat offenders at this prison, compared to one in the U.S. of the same size.

LMAOOO omg if i ever went to prison, i would pray and beg that i could be sent here so i could dance with them :D RIP MJ- King of Pop. He will always be remmebered as the amazing singer and dancer that broke down the colour barrier for blacks.
@KaiserSoze67911 жыл бұрын
While I don't disagree that it's hard and stressful, as somebody who's dated a serious dancer for almost 2 years, you can tell that for people who have the passion (which is pretty much the only people who do it, outside of a prison scenario) they do it BECAUSE they have fun with it. Maybe not every second, but overall they do, so you can't just write it off as never being fun.

This was great. As for people who "dislike" Micheal... doesnt matter what you say, he made amazing music and before he was accused of whatever you loved his music and who he was. People just follow others when something goes bad and dont know the truth cause they cant make up their own minds. People who always on his side are his true fans. not some follow the leader idiot. So with that said. R.I.P. Micheal, We will always be listening to your music for generations to come.

This is from wiki about the prision.....CPDRC Dancing Inmates or the CPDRC dancers is a collective of prison inmates in Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC), a maximum security prison in Cebu, in Cebu Province, Philippines where the prisoners perform dance routines as part of their daily exercise and rehabilitation, and many of their performances are filmed and released online, making them a popular feature among fans and veritable online celebrities.
@idontseemtohavealife12 жыл бұрын
These guys earned it. to be allowed to dance they have to have at least 3 years of good behavior in the prison to participate. and this takes a lot of hard work, team work, diligence, and they get to do something constructive with their time and have something in the end to be proud of. I bet they've never gotten that in their life which is why they turned out they way they are. prison should fix people, not brutally punish them so that when they're released they do something worse.

pt2..Byron F. Garcia, the official security advisor to the Cebu government, is credited for starting a program of choreographed exercise routines for the inmates. He was appointed head of the prison by his sister Gwendolyn Garcia, governor of Cebu Province.[1][2] The prison is best known for its rendition of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video.[3] The prison management has also released a video explaining the concept behind the prison management at CPDRC

You miss the point.. There are many reason we put them to bars 1.) So that they cannot "harm" anyone - But that doesn't include fellow inmates / 2.) So that they learn from their mistakes and realize it / 3.) That prison is also called rehabilitation center - Why not make a peaceful effort to change a person even though they had done mistakes before. It is called recreational activity - We don't want our prisoners or convicts recreational activity to be a gang war "Killing Each Other".

Dude, obviously you've never even danced before and you're ignorant of how things work in prison. Dancing is not fun when it's at that level, it's tough, it's hard work, it's determination and it's teamwork... stress levels far beyond any other discipline except martial arts and gymnastics. What they're doing is pro-level choreography, not some fun disco. THIS is a mark of honor and of someone who can work well with others, not "entertainment". READ and LEARN before you start typing comments.

they might have committed at one point in their lives but you, as someone who is free, should not judge those who have been serving their lives inside the confines of this four walled prison. I am honestly glad that they could still do something worthwhile in their lives. Before you say those things, try to put yourself on their shoes, let's see what you will feel if you're in their places.
