I’ve been lucky enough to see them 3 times since 2015 at house of blues in Nola. They sound better than ever to me. They seriously don’t disappoint live, especially Robert Sweet on drums. Thanks to Jesus Christ for healing Oz Fox. I’m happy for him and his family. God bless stryper 👊

A very average band I was in supported them when the toured Brisbane, Australia. I was lucky enough to be backstage in the catering room talking to them. They were real nice guys, but I was blown away by the amount of foundation makeup the drummer wore. They were amazing though, and I got to see the guitars up close. I used to love their guitar tone. Top band.

I worked backstage VIP security in the 80s when stryper played hon.hi hic arena. They were the first band I worked for that had backing tracks, they tested out the tracks at the sound check. They were great throwing lil bibles at the show.

Wow! I’m surprised how good they still sound! I was part of that California 80s Christian metal culture he’s talking about, and it was absolutely phenomenal to be alive in that part of the country, looking at so many bands live, right in front of your face! I went backstage and hung out with Michael Sweet, and Tony Palacios, from the band Guardian, at The Omni in Oakland during Stryper’s Against The Law tour, and I was blown away how good Stryper was. Being a full-time musician myself, I can attest that I’m not just acting like a fan, these guys were phenomenally good, and the lead guitar playing was off the charts.

Great to see Oz doing well. This is funny about guys looking like girls. During the Depp trial, JD slipped up and said "Aqua Net" instead of "Aqua Man". I laughed.... a lot! Just watched some older video of "Steel Heart". Wow, talking about a lot of hair & gorgeous men. You know the lead singer still can sing very, very well. Looked him up to see what he's been doing. There's a few singers that still have it. Michael Sweet is also one of them.

I don't know that the falsetta backup vocals were better than his voice, but I see your point. He must have had a cold or a horse throat. That was virtually dreadful especially given it's an octave low. But WOW, this band still sounds better live than nearly any rock concert I've ever been to. I was in the 80s scene pretty heavy myself. What band did you play for if you don't mind me asking?

This is why I never cared for Sryper as a Christian because you could never tell the difference between them and the secular bands they just mentioned ...after all these years did anyone actually hear a personal testimony about how Jesus saved them? or even reach out to the audience to reach them for Christ other than throw small bibles into the crowd? The Devil loves Stryper because their not a threat to his kingdom.
