I couldn’t care less if a band is religious or not. Good music is good music, and Stryper is good music

My Sunday school teacher took this album from me and asked my mom if she knew what I was listening to. She judged that since they had long hair that they had to be bad. I proved her wrong and she had to apologize.

He can still hit that note in the second verse after 40 years. Impressive 👍
@Noneya27Ай бұрын
No he can't. This is in a lower key.
@72mardyАй бұрын
@@Noneya27 it's the same key. Go listen to the studio version. They always tuned their guitars down half a step...so E was actually D# I have an original copy of this album, on cassette....and I can tell you it's definitely the same key and the same chords

Stryper can still bring it! They would smoke Crue, Bon Jovi, Ratt, pretty much any of their 80s glam contemporaries in my opinion, and my ears too! 👏

They're like wine: it gets better with age. Mike's vocal range dropped but still hitting high notes; his warm voice is much pleasing to ear compared to early years.

My first experience experiencing a Christian Band🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉It was Awesome 😊 I totally now follow Jesus , growing closer each day since 2012. Praise God for this gifted band spreading the truth, the life & the way ❤🙏

Stryper was the only metal I was allowed to listen to as the son of a Baptist minister. Now there were some other groups that came later like Deliverance, Seventh Angel, Novella but Stryper was the OGs. I did get to see Stryper in Tulsa Oklahoma on the In God We Trust tour. Thank you for giving me a metal outlet. No lie I eventually listened to all metal but Stryper was the best!

I'm an old ex pro player myself and I thin I hear a few extra backing vocals in the mid underneath but I know these guys could always deliver it live and sing well, just so bang on. I saw them in Toronto in 1989(yes I'm old lol) and they nearly blew the rood off just deafening but excellent too! Tim won't be back he's burned those bridge sorry to say.
