Hi, I have a question: the compressor in the channel strip is un diseabled for aux outs, it works only in Main LR, there's a solution? Note, I saw the diagram and I think is not possible... great video tho

Hey thanks for the great question. The aux outputs are setup post-EQ but pre-compressor, so you're absolutely correct. If you'd like to add your voice to the suggested features discussion about this, here is the link: community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/optional-source-point-for-sends-to-outputs - I'm not at all sure how likely they are to add it, or if it's possible, but I know other folks are looking for the same functionality. if you operate the mixer in wireless AP mode, does the network jack still work and act as a LAN port to be the router for a downstream switch?

@@DcSoundOp I'm at NAB this week looking to see if anything is AMAZING. Most shows just have better more of the same. But I usually find that there are one or two things that are truly amazing.

That's a great question. Hoepfully as we get into the summer months, more folks will get these outdoors and see how they really do in direct sun etc.

Hey nice Video! 1. How do I delete recorded Multitracks on my SD card (CQ18) Cant even find the file if iam inserting it in my Laptop 2. If I record and then try to make a virtual soundcheck on my headphones I can only hear my changes on the quickchannel settings but not on fx or fader. If i do the changes on my PR it works also for FX and fader. What am I doing wrong? Greetings

That’s a great question about deleting files. I don’t have the mixer here to look at anymore. If you submit these questions on the Allen & Heath CQ forum, you’ll probably get the fastest answer - community.allen-heath.com/forums/forum/cq/cq-general-discussions - for the recording, you can see the record pick off points on page 132 in the manual, all are before the fader. See ‘global recording source option’ in the Input Channel block - www.allen-heath.com/content/uploads/2023/09/CQ_User_Guide_V1_1_0_iss1.pdf#page119 - For the EFX, you’d have to choose to record the efx to a track, otherwise they won’t be recorded. I hope that helps!

Can i send all the channels over usb to live professor and back to get more processing power from my existing plugins?

So you could send them over, but you'd be out of channels to return the signals to. AFAIK, there is no way to patch an insert on this console like that.. so you'd have the direct outs of each channel going USB to the computer, but the return path would have no channel to go to. If I'm mistaken, maybe someone with a CQ in front of them with the latest firmware can correct me here. Thanks for the message.

@@DcSoundOp it apparently doesn’t do bidirectional usb and other advanced routing. which the behringer xr18 has had for a decade for well under half the cost. This is disappointing to say the least. After using this device it feels nerfed in their effects as well. Feels like a Playskool “My First Mixer”. I’m not impressed. This could have been a killer device. I’m sure this device can do more but they nerfed it on purpose not to eat into their sq line up. We need portable solutions and flexibility. I’m super bummed and returning it to Sweetwater.

@@randyreamy Hey, sorry to hear you didn't like it, but I don't think an XR18 is well under half the cost of a CQ-18t. I think one goes for $750 and the other $1250 at Sweetwater. But I get your sentiment. Maybe check back in with these in a year and see if they've updated anything via firmware. Thanks for watching & taking time to share your experience.

Hola, gracias por el mensaje. Yo no usaría una almohada, ya que eso aumentaría considerablemente el riesgo de descarga estática. Una alfombra antiestática sería lo mejor, o una mesa de madera como la que estoy usando en este video también funciona bien. ¡Gracias por mirar, yo también aprecio el comentario!
